Topic: New SMB Wii or Warioland: Shake It?

No keep NSMB Wii and get Wario land shake it. Each game is special in it's own way. It's Mario's first 2-D console game since the super nes and Wario's first 2-D console game in like ever! I have them both and love them. Warios game is a little shorter but still great fun and well worth owning. Plus you can probably get it pretty cheap by now.

NSMBwii is the way to go! I liked wario land shake it alot, but NSMBwii is longer, and has more secrets and exploration.

If you bought NSMBW new and you opened it already you cant return it anyway. Even if u claimed it was borken they would only give you another copy of the same game.

atruezeldafan, i think gamestop will let you return the game after 7 days if it's open, unless they just changed their policy lately.

I bleive the 7 days if its opend is for used games. i could be wrong though.

Wario Land is terrible and uninspired. People say that NSMB Wii is just a rehash of old games, but I didn't find anything new to Wario except the shaking, which is, like in any Wii game, the worst part. The graphics are nice, but the lack of widescreen prevents it from looking as good as it should. The levels are mostly puzzles, and by puzzles I mean the sort of thing games call "puzzles," which are generally so obvious that it feels like an exercise in tedium more than anything that actually requires thinking or skill.

Of course, a lot of people like it for some reason, but I doubt anyone likes it half as much as NSMBW.

It says here on the reciept that I have 7 days to exchange it for the same game. Based on what everyone is saying about Warioland: Shake It! though, I think I made the right choice. Suburban_sensei and Link79, I might consider buying the game on Ebay later this year. Thanks for your help!

Yes, Wario Land is certainly worth a look--it's a great platformer with tons of style. But NSMBWii is one of the greatest platformers of all time. Wario Land, on the other hand, is not.

It will probably go over a lot of people's heads but its relevant. I watched that a few days ago and since then I have constantly been seeing it all over the place in what people say. Its an epidemic almost. I think what you said just then is the most painfully accurate example of it.

Take my advice, you like New SMB Wii right? why not just enjoy it? If you spend your entire time playing it thinking that another game might have been a better buy you won't enjoy it at all. Because of that you will end up becoming, for lack of a better description, a consumer whore and buy ALL the games (GFC much?). Obviously that's what the people selling you these products want but its not what you want. You just want to, assuming you are normal, enjoy your game. Worrying about choices is no way to live.. ahh.. play games.

Get both. WarioLand is excellent and should be under a tenner nowadays. Don't think I paid more than £10 for my copy.

I won't do that if i where you cause even do Wario Land Shake it is a great game (i have the game) New Super Mario Bros Wii is just Incredible don't trade it instead save some money for Wario Land Shake it even if it takes a while.

Wario Land sucks, so you should go for NSMBW.

Skywake: Thanks for posting the link that video! I agreed with Barry Schwartz and you, concerning the topic of choice. It's wrong to wonder if a certain game might be or might not be better than another game, because the fact of the matter is, I have a perfectly enjoyable game sitting right in front of me. Once you eliminate the mind-set that you need or want that other game, the games you have can be twice as enjoyable as they were before. I know I was able to appreciate all of the things in my life a little bit more after seeing this video. Again, thanks for posting it!

I don't have NSMBWii, but it looks better. Warioland is great and all although a bit short, I'd reccommend getting it at your first opportunity. It's not hugely original, but that doesn't stop it from being a good game!

NSMBWii, you can toss friends to pits while you are playing, what else can you need?

I say NSMB Wii. Why? Because it's 2D!

Gaming + 2D = fun!
