Topic: My Trouble

As some of you already know, I am boycotting WiiWare in an attempt to convince Nintendo to release more Virtual Console games. (After all, sales were the reason for the emphasis on WiiWare!) Unfortunately, the demos came, and, while I downloaded the demos (as an attempt to promote the permanence of the service), Nintendo said that the demos will become more permanent if the demos double the sales of the respective WiiWare games.

Uh-oh... how am I going to save the demos AND support Virtual Console?

UPDATE: Since people are getting the wrong ideas, I should put up a few notes.

@ I know that I am doing a one-person job, and one person alone will not save Virtual Console. However, I do not want to stay and do nothing. My real plan is to encourage others to boycott WiiWare in order to save Virtual Console. (Unfortunately, a lot of people prefer laughing at my efforts instead of actually trying to help me...)
@ Of course, boycotting WiiWare is only part of the plan. I also plan to support Virtual Console by buying only Virtual Console games in Wii Shop (and encourage others to do the same).
@ However, I know that there already are a lot of games in Virtual Console and, due to rights and the current unfeasability of translations, the releases should be stretched out some. However, there are still other reservoirs left (like the Commodore64 and Master System games and the add-ons from present consoles), so there should not be any reason why not pick up the pace some. (However, I do recognize that there are processes in getting even the possible games on Virtual Console. I just do not want these processes or those who perform thereof to be neglected.)
@ Also, I do not want WiiWare to die. I hold no grudge against WiiWare; I just want Virtual Console game weeks to be restored. I would gladly (and even ENCOURAGE) a week of plenty of Virtual Console AND WiiWare releases.
@ By the way, "unknown releases" (as in those games that are not a part of Donkey Kart SmashBound Island of Blood) are welcome for me. At least those are Virtual Console releases! Do not play "favourites and rejects"!

I don't think you alone will stop demos from coming though. Besides, the VC has picked up over the past couple of weeks anyways.

Boycotts are useless towards Nintendo.

One person boycotting. Will probs think it was just someone who isn't connected to the internet. Buy WiiWare. And ever thought that Nintendo's marketing campaign doesn't revolve around you, or the world for that fact.

There's over 300 VC games what's not to like? plus Wiiware offers something i enjoy such as innovative idea's for a low price.

Tell me Marky, what VC games do you want anyways?

To put this simply, I know that I am only one person (which is why I had second thoughts upon my trouble, since others may end up buying the WiiWare games instead), though I got that boycotting idea from someone else, so I am not exactly the only boycotter...

Me, I already know (and even said myself) about the tons of games available on Virtual Console; I just do not want this service to be neglected. (Of course, I will not throw a meltdown if another no-Virtual-Console week comes.)

MarkyVigoroth, remember Nintendo can only release so many VC games because of rights and all that. They're trying to space them out, and in order to do that they have to give you a whole bunch of games you never heard of. Why they don't just release everything at once, I dunno. That's just how they roll.

Starkiller-san, I also remembered the "Nintendo not having as much games" issue (due to not only rights, but translation not presently being feasible) when I typed my 2nd comment.

I should have made clear that I RECOGNIZE THAT I ALONE CANNOT SAVE THE SERVICE, yet I did not want to do nothing, either way. p=(_)

Yeah...one person can't make any difference to Nintendo, but neither would the entire membership of Nintendo Life. They're jerks like that. Just go ahead and support the demos. The demo made me get the full version of Pokemon Rumble, which I would have otherwise ignored completely, so huzzah for demos!

Stuffgamer1-san, I am starting to feel better about this topic. I did not mean to sound like those who whine about the lack of Virtual Console games and do not appreciate the lesser-known games (in other words, anything that is not Donkey Kart SmashBound Island of Blood), that is, the same type of people I had reproved in the past. I am just one to be worried about the state of things.

I am starting to consider the whole state of things (even as I "try to stop the train on my own", so to speak).

= ...not that I am actually TRYING to convince Nintendo on my own, but, since I am (almost) the only boycotter, I am pretty much doing a one-person job, as much as I did not want such to be so...

...exactly. That game is my way of saying "the games everybody wants" (Donkey Kong 64; Super Mario Kart; Super Smash Bros.; EarthBound; Yoshi's Island; Rondo of Blood).
