Does it give you the same problem on multiple wiimotes? I don't have anything but praise for how M+ works on TW10.

We already know that some developers have not been very happy with the Wii Motion Plus. I'm sure a lot of it will depend on how well developers make use of the technology. Might take some awhile to get a handle on the added sensitivity.

Geez... now it doesn't seem to understand when I'm changing the position of the rachet or when i'm swinging. I just had a game where I play as Murrey and he just lets the ball go past him even though I swing like a crazy man. I'm starting to lose faith in this game, I regret not getting TIger Woods 10.

Have you tried duct tape? That seems to work for everything.

Umm rachet? I think you mean racket. Have patience! Give the game a break for a bit, then have a go again later. I'm 99% sure you're either not letting it calibrate or are holding it the wrong way. And if you're playing without the nunchuk, that'd probably explain it.

@Corbie: LOL!

Does a friend have a Wii maybe you can bring the game to their house and try it out on some different hardware.

Ok, here it is, how should I hold the Wii Remote...?

Like this?

Or like this?

To be honest I've tried both methods and haven't noticed any difference.

The first way looks right to me. Okay, when you swing a forehand:

Turn your body 90 degrees to the right and pull the racket back all the way, then take a swing. This isn't like Wii Tennis where you can just flick the remote back n' forth.

Do the opposite for a backhand. I'm about to go to a b-ball game, so good luck!

Another thing, here's the UK's Official Nintendo Magazine Review: http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/article.php?id=8813
It can't be broke if it got a 90%!

LOL. Good one JTC. That's what happens to gamers after a while I guess.

You are supposed to hold it the way on the bottom picture.

Ok, second day of owning the game, and I think the whole time it was me...

I was expecting 1:1 control, but it's not really that way, the Motion plus is there to aid better control for swings, plus as mentioned before you need to keep the controller still each time you go into a new turn. Apart from that I'm getting better at the game and I'm now starting to like it. I made an EA account, for those who want to add me i'm "SepticLemon" on EA Online.

Makes sense. In TW10 they make you hold the Wiimote down and it has to settle before it even lets you hold B to begin the swing. So it's probably calibrated at that time. Glad you figured it out. Enjoy your game.

Talking about Tiger Woods, it looks like it got delayed over here, it's not out over here until the 3rd of July. Looks like I can save my money before hand.

Tiger Woods is awesome. Been playing Disc Golf for the most part, can't wait to play the game with friends. Regular golf is a bit of a learning curve though. Be a nice tide over til Wii Sports Resort. Simple, fun games FTW!

From playing the game online, and getting used to the controls. Grand Slam Tennis has now been officially redeemed...

So now you like it alot?
Im thinking about getting Tiger Woods 10, since it seems it is the game to get for golf.

Both Grand Slam and Woods really couldn't be exact 1:1 without making it insanely difficult and having 99% of people suck horribly at it. But you can see that a game like the one being released by that professional golf instructor that's intended to help you improve your actual golf swing keeps track of your full backswing and followthrough, maps it, saves the outline and then shows you what you need to improve and how to improve it. So 1:1 is absolutely possibly with the tech, but for a videogame centered around very difficult and nuanced motions like the wide variety of tennis swings, or a clean golf swing, 1:1 would be disastrous. Sword dueling has leeway in the 1:1 department

I am playing without the Nunchuck in GST, because my own movements are even worse, and I did not notice any differences.

Hi All,
Same problem here. Got the game, started playing, player swinging all around like crazy. I tried to put the controller on the table and left it there for a good 5sec, but that did not help. In some cases the player even turned their back to the serve... Very annoying. It is impossible to time the swing as they seem to occur at almost random times, regardless of what the controller is doing.
However, if i unplug the motion plus and just play with the normal wii controller then the game works well and i can kick butt.... Surely this must mean that the wii motion plus thingy has a problem!

Has anyone else had this issue and did you manage to get the Wii Motion Plus dongle replaced??
Advice welcome.
Cheers,

K
