Topic: Motion Plus problems...

ok, I got a few issues with Motion plus and Grand Slam tennis. For some reason, at times it won't figure out where the rachet is meant to be which causes me to miss the ball, and that's really annoying!

Is there any Motion Plus Testing option on GrandSlam? I think that my Motion Plus isn't working at times, and it continues to do it even after I've done the upside down recalibrate thing.

Anyone got any solutions?

In the IGN review, Matt mentions that you might need to keep the Wii-mote still for a mo', between each shot, as its only then that it calibrates. I was worried when I read that, and to then see this post.

Let me know if you find a way to deal with it.

I havn't heard anything like you've described from anything i've read so far.

Hey Septic, I've heard this problem. Try this:

1) Use the nunchuck, the auto-placement sucks.
2) Make sure you let the remote recalibrate every point.

I got the tiger woods game and the wii motionplus works great. I havent had any problems yet. Hopefully you get yours to work soon.

Ok, well I had a session on Gland Slam ok, and it felt better, though it was wigging out before I receive the serve, I see my dude's arm fidget like crazy, but this only happens when before the rally. However when I played a simple exibition game, playing as Sampres, I get into this problem again... grr...

It must be the remote's orientation or something. Have you checked the manual for the correct way to hold it?

Oh lovely. I knew there would be something wrong with it. If it seems too good to be true, it is.

@Dwarfer: Have you read the reviews and the hundreds of positive comments on the game? Septic is doing something wrong, it's not the game.

Read the Amazon reviews - insanely frustrating till you finally get the knack of the controls. And remember to plug in the nunchuck!

to be honest I'm doing better without the Nunchuk, I tried a few online games and I've whooped a few people without it! lol. I've noticed a trend though, I seem to play better with my custom character rather than the pre made characters...

Hmm... the more I play this game, the more I feel like I got Wii Tennis that's 10% more advanced...

So far I have a bad feeling I made a bad descision buying this game...

I am a big fan of Grand Slam Tennis, you just need more practice. I am surprised you like it better without the nunchuck, I think the game is unplayable without the nunchuck.

@SepticLemon: Just hang on to it till tomorrow, I'll try to give you some help when I pick it up.

Talking about more problems, I just realised that one of my Wii Remotes rumble isn't working, and yes I did try turning it on in the home menu.
