How is the quality of having three huge games on one disk? How are they able to make these games all work right with Wii controls? Sorry I'm just not Technically savvy so I don't understand how games are stored.
like vonseux said, the dual layer DVD holds all 3 games without sacrificing any data. there are some charge beam effects in prime 1 that had to be ditched to accommodate the pointer controls, but the other games have all their beam effects intact. retro added some better textures and lighting effects as well as widescreen to the first two games, not to mention they fixed some music glitches that had cut the bryyo and flaahgra soundtracks short, so overall the trilogy is a great improvement over the original games.
I can't believe this is already out-of-print. I desperately want a copy now, but the new ones are too expensive and I don't buy used stuff.
I saw some new copies at my local Wal-Mart just yesterday. I thought it was interesting to see them sitting there, but my Wal-Mart is more in the country than a city, I guess.
i'd be surprised if the new play control versions of each game didn't go on sale in the west at some point to take the place of the trilogy. nintendo's having a great time porting their best gamecube games to wii and i don't think they'll pass up the chance to port these games twice, so if you passed on the trilogy you could buy them individually. it wouldn't be so bad; you'd get each game's original menu screen that way.
