I need some help, i´ve never played any of the games. I´ve watched countless of reviews and still im not sure about buying it.
Could someone really tell me whats so great about it?
I think im uncertain about this game couse it´s first person shooter. And i really don´t care about those games to much.

I too am not too keen on first person shooters so I was uncertain about buying Metroid Prime Trilogy - I made a topic here that you might want to look at.

Long story short: Metroid Prime Trilogy is more a first person ADVENTURE than shooter. The emphasis is more on exploration and puzzle solving than shooting enemies, plus if you struggle with that you can use lock-on so you don't have to worry about aiming too much. I would definitely recommend that you get it, as it's a great bargain for three fantastic games and probably won't be around much longer since Nintendo have discontinued it, but have a look at the topic I linked to above if you want to see more opinions to help you to decide.

That trilogy is the best Wii has to offer, some of my favorite games of all time, and only thing I regret getting rid of. You'll do well in getting it. There's quite a bit of combat, but that's not where the weight is at, it's at the exploration and puzzle solving just as NFreak007 said.

There he goes, Firkraag. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die. - My VGscore

If they're your favourite games of all time, why the hell did you get rid of it? OK maybe you needed the money or something - but I'd sell the roof over my head before I parted with my favourite ever video game.

This.

Oh wait, we're talking about Metroid prime Trilogy. it is more of a First-person Adventure than a FPS like NFreak007 said.

Answer: GET THE GAME! (also take into consideration it's a collectable and hard to find now unless you pay more on eBay)

go to www.virtualhamgames.com for great original independent games, a help service, and reviews for our games.

i'm not keeping a console that's collecting dust because of a only a few good games when the rest is shovelware, selling it and getting a ps3 was the best thing i've done in awhile.

$44 for a used game is outrageous though.

Not really, in this case. It is a pretty new game, and it is a collectors item that isn't being shipped anymore. I'd say that it is worth it.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

This pretty much covers it all. Get it, it's a collection of three superb games, well worth $50 (if you can find it in stores [try Targets])...

i liked more the original gamecube control scheme, so i would buy the games separately. Also, i've heard that the graphics in the original Metroid Prime were a bit better in gamecube edition.

It's more of an epic action-adventure game (or games, even though I'm more looking at Prime 1), just focused at a first person view (a.k.a Samus's visor), rather than a FPS. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys intense boss battles, insanely genius puzzles, insanely deep storylines, anyone who wants to have fun, and to any Metroid/Nintendo fan.

Trust me on this, I'm a Metroid fan.

I agree with Metroid_Fan, the controls are better on the wii, to me.
