Playing through the first few levels now with a perpetual smile on my face. This game is so heartwarming and beautiful I could just turn into a puddle of sticky, sugary goo on my couch. LOVE IT!
My thoughts exactly. I kept saying, "one more level..." every time I beat a level, because it's just so freaking charming. I can't remember the last time I had a game capture that whimsical feeling that games used to always have when I was a child.

This game is incredible! There's something new in every level! And whatever it is, it will always make you smile. I played for 2 1/2 hours straight, made it to world 3, and it felt like no time at all. I had to drag myself away from the game because I've got homework to do. So far I've only encountered one non-boss level where you couldn't use a special power (such as tank, firetruck, train, etc.), and only twice were special powers repeated (and one of those times was in a bonus level), so yes, you get to use a new special power up in almost every level. By the way, while I haven't finished it yet, world 3 is insanely awesome so far, so for those of you thinking the first two worlds are awesome, just wait.

If I have one complaint about this game (but it's really not much of a complaint), it's that when you ring the bell at the end of a level it sounds all Christmas-y. Most people would consider this a good thing, but I already really want it to be Christmas but have to deal with the fact that it's still over 2 months away! This isn't helping! D: Seriously though, this game is awesome.

Got the game at 11 this morning. It is seriouisly one of the best games I've played in a while. I just love the art direction and the gameplay always manages to stay fresh. This Kirby game was most definitely worth the wait! BTW, has anyone one seen the Kombo review? http://kombo.com/reviews/Kirbys_Epic_Yarn_Review/ They seriously missed the point of this great game. It makes me sad when sites like this drag a wonderful game's average score down

It wasn't even the score. As long as they don't say it is actively bad or terrible I don't care outside of the fact that stupid people take these (CLEARLY NOT PAID BY GAME PUBLISHERS) reviews seriously. However the fact that a review for a mediocre looking site I've never heard of that CONVENIENTLY is the only one I've never heard of and is CONVENIENTLY the only not great score and the review is CONVENIENTLY not even there now...is something I expect, unfortunately.

This game is wonderfully magical. I love it. I played it two-player which was fun but I feel like I could do a better job on my own. In two-player mode, we're always bumping into each other, and grabbing each other, and accidentally killing each other.
I wasn't going to get it, but darned if Corbie didn't sell me on it with his winsome words. I think me and a buddy might split the money and go in 50-50 on it.

@LaytonApprentice I know, trust me, I was just looking for something to "fault" in the game, although it's hardly something I would truely complain about. Sorry to hear you have to wait.
I wasn't online in time to see the Kombo review. I only noticed it on Metacritic, became outraged, clicked on the link and then realized the review wasn't even there. The little summary on Metacritic basically said it's a kiddy game, which annoys me, but oh well, can't please everyone!
On the topic of the game itself, this game just keeps getting better! I made it to world 5 (Snow Land) and played the first level. Every time I play this game it just fills me with indescribable joy. It's like waking up on Christmas morning at the age of 6, except it's happening to me as a teenager, and it's not even Christmas. The music in this game, is, unexpectedly I will admit, incredible, and brilliantly compliments the overall feel of the game. So it's easy. So it's short (as I said I'm already at world 5 and iirc there's 7 worlds total). I don't care. This game is awesome.
EDIT: The Kombo review just got removed from Metacritic. Probably due to the whole "it's not actually there anymore" thing. EDIT EDIT: Wait now it's there again. WAAAAAT?! EDIT EDIT EDIT: Metacritic needs to go back to their old format. The number of reviews and metascore keeps changing every second.....
