But they don't. Its just that Japan is Nintendo's home country and they're more enthusiastic about doing things for their own customers. The American videogame market seems to be much more business orientated than in Japan. But that may be down to general culture differences.

Please tell me you are being ironic. The planned American invasion of Japan was decided against in favour of the dropping of the two atomic bombs on Japan which prompted their surrender.
