Topic: Jett Rocket impressions

Yeah, Lostwinds 2 is another game I can't get into.

Nah, it's there, but it's a well-hidden easter egg. In order to play as Adam: progress through the game in an ordinary fashion, but grumble continuously about the 3D platforming and lack of a clear flagpole.

I'm getting this as soon as it's available!

I haven't played it yet, but having a living 1-Up as a boss sounds a tad on the easy side.

Fun game, definitely one of the better WiiWare games to be released in a while, especially in terms of graphics and content, it's short on gameplay but the "achievements" help stretch the game out and the 3d gallery is a nice addition.
The only glitch, I guess, is that sometimes Jett does a dash attack without me moving the Wiimote. Made me fall off a ledge a couple times, other than that I havn't experienced anything else.
I also agree with KS8, some solar cells are well hidden or you have to collect them right after you destroy an enemy, I saw a couple disappear when I took too long to get them.

I've said this before, but I am really looking forward to this game. Even more so now that I watched the latest trailer and read this thread. Certainly getting it asap this friday! Seems it's long enough for a Wiiware game; I have played many shorter ones that were still worth the money. And more importantly, it seems the game is challenging, which is good to hear. It did look a bit easy in the trailers, but I guess games usually do when played by it's developers.

How long did that take you?

I just watched a new video from Nintendaan1 on YouTube.

I'm totally impressed by the graphics. There are leaves wiggling in the wind, very cool water effects, fish in the water, birds fly away if you come near them, very nice lens flare effects. I like that kind of things.

Too bad it's not out in europe yet.

Hey, thanks for posting that link Omega. Wow, this game looks absolutely fantastic! Going by what I've seen in that video and read from KnucklesSonic8's impressions I am now totally sold on this game. I will be downloading this game as soon as I wake up in the morning.

@Swiket: There's a checkpoint system when it comes to boss levels. Otherwise, I have no problem without it as it would make the game easier, which I wouldn't want since the levels aren't long.

Which isn't bad, since it's a WiiWare game after all. Besides, most people beat LostWinds and NyxQuest in 2-3 hours.

Exactly! Plus, LostWinds' replay value for me was lame - practically non-existant. This isn't.

Just finished collecting all 1020 orbs! That was actually pretty fun; some of the orbs were very cleverly hidden, as KS8 said. (Although others boiled down to combing every square inch of ground for an X mark with orbs hidden under it, which was lame.) I'm still only at 94%, so I guess you have to do the stupid achievements to get 100%? The remaining ones don't sound too difficult though, so maybe I'll do them to see if you get any extras for finishing them all.

Anyone else have their game freeze on them? I was in the 3rd Northpole level, I jumped onto the cylindrical platform (to collect the cells) from the chair-lift, paused the game for a couple of seconds but when I went to unpause the game it was frozen.
