@Ricardo91 No it is not. It is Real Time Strategy on a 2D plane.
@DrFojo There are currently no game that screams "TOWER DEFENSE" on WiiWare, but there are a few that give the resemblance of the genre. My Life as a Darklord is close, and you missed the opportunity to download the demo recently, too :< Defend Your Castle is more action based than TD-like, but the premise is similar.
The Robocalypse game coming out for WiiWare is probably in final stages. Some WiiWare games tend to be oddly announced and then quiet until the week before release. Beaver Towers seems to be one of those games.
Crystal Defenders A1 and A2 are tower defense, but I really recommend Swords and Soldiers to you. It works really well, and isn't a lot like other RTS' out there.

Thanks for for the suggestions. I'll defiantly pick up Swords and Soldiers, love the style, but I thought that was more RTS. I did try the demo for My life as a Dark Lord, I was just hoping to find something a little more traditional.
Man, totally forgot about Crystal Defenders A1 and A2. Yeah, A2 I hear is the better deal, but the two games feel like they should have been one (they were in the XBLA release!)

They were also in the Iphone release, and they were better and cheaper! Yeah, it should have been better.

I don't know about the Wii Crystal Defenders releases (I disagreed with the price point), but the iPod clickwheel (Classic or Nano) version is pretty sweet. It's kind of odd that there aren't more tower defense games on WiiWare, considering how many there are elsewhere in the realm of downloadable games.
Moco Loco If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.
It does not really have the maze or puzzle element of some tower defense games, but you build your fortifications strategically to defend from an ever-stronger onslaught of stick figure enemies. I think you will enjoy this game on Wii because it has added motion controls - a simple flick of the wrist to send the enemies sailing.
Swords & Soldiers, an RTS type of game, is also recommended on WiiWare.
However, Swords & Soldiers is one of the best games on WiiWare. And it's as much tower defense as is it RTS, to be honest. That is, the mechanics are pretty similar to any tower defense game, it's just presented in a side-scrolling form with the goal of attacking rather than defending. Everyone refers to it as an RTS, but there's really little specific relation to that genre beyond resource gathering and creating troops (as opposed to defensive fortifications)...
The only games on WiiWare you could call "Tower Defens"e are Darklord and Crystal Defenders.
My Life as a Darklord for 1000pts is pretty good (without all the extra pay&play stuff that makes the price go up to a whopping 6700pts-ripoff)
Crystal Defenders R1 & R2 are also good. But it's only 12 stages in each game. 800pts each .. that makes the complete game 1600pts which is way better than the Darklord deal, but still kinda expensive. At least you get online leaderboards in 2 stages and a hidden stage when you perfect all 12 normal stages in both Crystal Defenders R1 and Crystal Defenders R2..
Defend your Castle has nothing to do with the tower defense genre and it's a bad game.
And just for the record: Isn't Sandy Beach by Konami (not released in EU) a quirky defense-like game too?
Swords & Soldiers indeed is a RTS game, but it has a few defense missions too.
Little Tournament Over Yonder... can someone please tell more about this one?
