Does anyone know when Puzzle Agent is coming out for WiiWare?

No, im guessing soon, but it looks like a bad imitation of Prof Layton, so save your money, or at least try the demo on TellTales site.

I agree, it looks crap unlike telltales's other brilliant wiiware games.

It's definately not crap. Don't be fooled by the graphics (you graphics whores ). It is based on the comics of Grickle and of course used the art style in the game. I gave the PC version an 8,5 out of 10 (see Dutch review). I really hope they will make this into a serie.

I never said it was crap, you dirty swine you. I love the graphic style of it, frankly, I really don't understand why companies stray from the indie look. I would love a game to have an art style like this.

It needs more puzzles though. And it needs to be constant. In the Prof Layton games, they start you off with easy puzzles, and lead you into hard ones, yet puzzle agent, has them all over the place.
I would like to see a sequel, and they improve on the puzzle aspects of it.

I though it had enough puzzles. I never played the Layton games, but I thought it has enough puzzles (considering the length of one/two hours) with enough variety and challenge. I did wish they didn't repeat some puzzles and most of them were well integrated in the story. So I enjoyed it a lot.

Yeah, okay ill give you your arguments. I agree wholehearted agree that the story (at least in the demo) is a great. You should invest in the Layton series, and you would see all the influences seen in Puzzle Agent.

I was considering getting Puzzle Agent. It's cheap so I can live with the short playtime. It's not a "bad imitation" so much as "inspired by" (Telltale's own words!) Prof. Layton.

@Aviator Ladyhawke! Anyway, I've been wanting to see that kind of art direction in a game too. I swear I've seen that style used somewhere other than her music video though.

I thought I was the only Ladyhawke fan here.
I saw her live, it was awesome.

Being the big Layton fan that I am, it'll be interesting to see how Puzzle Agent compares.

Just joking (hence the smiley face). Of course it is inspired by the Layton games (like HolyMackerel said). Telltale Games even tells it on the said. But inspired but Layton or not, it is just a very fun game, nice puzzles, great graphics and a fun, mysterious story.

Last Monday (the 16th) I got tired of the game not appearing on the WiiWare release list and just bought it for PC. It's a great game. Some of the puzzles aren't quite as, shall we say, coherent as those in Professor Layton. But that doesn't stop it from being pretty great with a very charming story and graphics.
