You bet I am! It's the best system I've ever had! The interactivity is amazing, and it helps me exercise. I love the VC. I've already downloaded at least ten games! WiiWare is cool, I've already downloaded two SBCG4AP episodes (and beaten them). The backward compatibility renders my Gamecube almost useless. The VC is enhanced by the remote acting as an NES controller, the classic controller acting as an SNES controller, and the Gamecube controller acting as an N64 controller. Perfect combo.
This is only a very small fraction of my amazement at the Wii. It is IMHO the best system ever made.

Yup, I'm pretty happy. Three main reasons: Super Mario Galaxy for retail, Sin and Punishment for VC, and Mega Man 9 for WiiWare. I don't really need more to be happy, though I won't say no to anything else they're willing to give me!

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
I couldn't be much more happier with the Wii. The VC does need some improvement though. If the Xbox 360 that I have with me right now isn't my brother's, I'll even be glad to sell it & most of the games to get more good Wii games.
That's a very personal question. SInce we're talking about videogames however, I'd have to say yeah, the Wii is a cool little system. It has a lot going for it with the VC and gamecube library, and this is shaping up to be a good year for Wii owners in terms of retail releases. I got mine for free, so I can't complain. I would still probably like to have a 360 or a PS3, as most of my friends are online, but oh well. Maybe my income tax check will be big this year.
The Wii is a solid piece of hardware. It has never died on me. It has crash a couple times, and given me a false scare with a "system memory corrupted" warning, but it's taken 3 falls to the ground and still works.
The Wii is well-manufactured and reliable. That's really all you can ask from hardware, so yes, I'm happy with the Wii. Now if we were talking about Nintendo, the Wii game library, online service, price, etc., that'd be a whole different question and answer.
Yes I am happy, it's not perfect, and I would lie if I said that it doesn't make me happier to have my PS2 beside it (cheaper games ), but overall I like the Wii and love Wiiware and VC.

That I think has clarified my own judgement issues here ---- it's not the console that is lacking in any way ---- It's good to see many have faith in their wii and perhaps I'm being a bit harsh on something that's really new to us all..... but please Nintendo De ja vu gaming is encroaching upon me.. Thx for everyone's thoughts
Too happy, it's taken over my life!!! I honestly didn't want to continue gaming after the Gamecube but .... It's now become an obsession thanks to the Wii. There's a lot of diversity in the Wii retail game market and some real gems, which is why my disc collection is close to 50 games now. VC and WiiWare just enhance the experience, and have pushed my collection close to 100 games! Crazy!
But who cares when it's this much fun?
Oh, and it's also encouraged me to register with sites like this after always being a solitary gamer, so Nintendo have certainly helped in introducing me to the online community.
When it sounded like a small lawn mower, and I had to delete something everytime I wanted to download something, I was close to hating it! Both problems have been fixed now and we are best of friends. I <3 my Wii.
The more I read Clickitys posts, the more I realise she is on a different, higher plain then the rest of us. If everyone who played games was that plugged in - Nintendo would either have to straighten up their act or go out of business.
Best to be a giant computer software or consumer electronics giant to be in the game industry - then you can subsidise your consoles losses through profits in other divisions and trojan horse propriety formats with your consoles. Also it is very important to have Hollywodd - faioled directors making vidoegame and d-list acotrs providing voice work. The one and only future of gaming is cinematic games with mature themes (for 13 year olds) and photrealistic graphics.
Wii just aint got jack.
IGN: The holiday Wii lineup looks thin for the hardcore crowd. We see this. Gamers see this. What, if anything, is Nintendo planning to address it?
Oh good, I am neither a gamer or hardcore. Saves me from having to be IGNorant. Right, Down, A, Down, Right, Up
I'm happy with my Wii, there are lots of great retail games and I love the VC which was a major reason behind my decision to buy a Wii. However I find myself often wishing that it had more power under the hood so to speak. The lack of a proper hdd and HD output do restrict developers, no matter what some might say. More and more I look at games like infamous or Halo 3 and think that its a shame that Nintendo owners cant have experiences like that on their machine.
Now that PS3 has had a price drop I will go ahead and rejoin the playstation club, i have a big 1080p TV, I want to get the most out of it.
A year and a half later yes. I just wished some of the core games coming out this fall and early next year would of been recognized earlier in the consoles lifespan.
I must say, I've never been happier with any other console. I own a Nintendo 64, a Nintendo GameCube, a XBox, the Nintendo Wii and four handhelds (GB, GBC, GBASP and NDSLite). But the Wii is definitely the one, I had the most fun with. The key is local multiplayer, it goes nothing over playing some nice and fun games with your buddies, while drinking a beer and chatting about the week. And the Wii certainly has the best games in this direction: Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, SSB Brawl and Mario Kart Wii - all of those are tons of fun. Local multiplayer is the most important thing about a video game console, but the XBox360 and the PS3 don't seem to focus on that at all. They are more like wanna-be PCs, but why should I get a wanna-be PC if I can have a real one? Online multiplayer is never as much fun as local multiplayer, so why focus on that, when I can have local multiplayer games on a console? In my eyes, the Wii is the only true video game console in this generation. I also don't find the library of the HD Twins too attractive, most games look like movies and don't seem to focus on gameplay anymore. But for Nintendo gameplay always has been the most important thing (with a few exceptions maybe).
And my favorite video game franchises are Zelda and Metroid, so of course I go with Nintendo. Metroid is definitely going very strong on the Wii, the best console for Metroid fans so far. Zelda not so much, but there is a Wii Zelda in development, so I don't complain as long as we get it someday. I also like the Virtual Console and the WiiWare service a lot. Downloading classic or small new games for a small price is definitely very appealing.
There are some minor downsides like the inconvenient friend codes (but like I said, online multiplayer isn't very important) or the small system storage or that Wii Sports Resort was the first good Nintendo game after a year, but no one is perfect. ^^ I'm definitely looking forward to the Metroid Prime Trilogy and New SMB Wii right now. While I'm not a big Mario fan, New SMB Wii will definitely be the next big local multiplayer hit, so I wouldn't miss it.
