I'm surprised Toys R Us had that many copies too. Although w.e Nintendo sent out... is all they are sending out. So all the copies that where going to be out are already out. I pray to Miyamoto that no one here who wants one gets left without a copy. That is my Christmas wish.

That is a nice Christmas wish. But do we have any evidence that Nintendo is only making one shipment of this game? That really doesn't sound like Nintendo, especially on a game like this that will sell really well for a long time. I know it's going to be limited edition, but only one shipment? If it is only one shipment though, it will be worth more.
I picked it up at Toys R Us today, since i was already there buying other games for Christmas presents. They had A LOT of copies, and i could see several stocked boxfulls (in addition to the many in the display cases) still behind the registers.
lol, i didn't even realize today was the release date, for some reason i thought it came out last week in the US as well
I'm surprised at people saying this is sold out. The Toys R Us I went to had tons of copies and the guy said he had like 80 more in the back. I'm sure Nintendo will crank out a few million copies before they stop production altogether. They're in the business of making money. Doesn't really matter though, I already have my copy.
Where I live it seems that the more main stream places that do pre-orders are the ones that are out of stock. that seams to also be true online. Sites like Amazon, Best buy, Futureshop, Gamestop, ect those sites will be sold out. Other stores that also sell video games like Superstore, hmv, ect may still have them.
Imo something Limited Addition is worth $30, and believe Nintendo when they said it was Limited.
I hope an item needs to have a few more qualities than just being a limited edition for you to want to purchase it
I agree. Look at the Limited Edition Platinum Gamecube. It seemed like the only edition left by the end of that generation.
I picked mine up today and from what I can tell it is exactly what Nintendo claims. The book could have used a bit more info because it seemed more like a glorified time line that was repeated a few times. Gold text on red is hard to read in soft lighting. The music CD is nice. I know some people wanted more then 10 songs on it however that is standard for a lot of music CDs. I enjoyed the CD. I also thought it was nice that the DVD case that they used for the main game was not one of the ones that have all the holes behind the disc. It makes the case feel a bit more sturdier.
If I were to change one thing to the all-stars port It would have been to make better use of wide screen. Even If they don't change the aspect ratio of the main game they could have done something similar to Warioland shake it where they put something in the boarder.
Did anyone notice there is a sticker and bar code thing on the inside of the All Stars box behind the manual. I tried taking the sticker off, but it's not going anywhere. Son of a bitch! lol. I've opened up dozens of Wii games and I've never seen one before. The sticker that holds the box together is horrible as well! It is impossible to remove it without leaving little white pieces all over, where the red has been removed. Why couldn't they have just kept this thing sealed like all other Wii games and solved this problem.
I'll probably buy it and keep it sealed to sell one day in the future when the value appreciates. Already have all the games included in it and you'll probably be able to stream the specials included on YouTube before this week is up.

You could have slit cut it with a knife or something.

Got mine yesterday, and it's nice. My opinion is that the controls(Wii remote) are more comfortable than the Snes controller. All Stars also looks a little better at 480p vs. s-video. The cd was my main reason for buying it. My favorite tracks on there are: SMB1, 2, 3, SMW, NSMB DS, and Super Mario Sunshine. I like that they included the Yoshi beats on SMW and Sunshine. Awesome!
Slight tangent here, going back to the game being sold out at places ... while it wasn't anywhere near sold out @ Toys R Us, Toys R Us was sold out of both Epic Mickey and DKC Returns (and one of the guys there said that they gone through a couple shipping-boxes worth of DKCR just that morning alone).
I have to wait so friggin' long until I get this. Dam online shipping, I hope it arrives soon. They didn't even put tracking information yet, dam you TIGERDIRECT!!
Went to Walmart yesterday in Northern Maine (Where I go to college) and they only got 5 copys in and thats all they were planning to carry. I got the second to last one. Its on my desk at the moment. Its finals week but im loading it up in a few. Does it have the save and quit like it did on the SNES?
