Turns out I purchased 7000 points during this year at £7 per 1000 (I only purchase points through the Wii Shop). Thats probably quite low compared to other people here.

This year?! Erm... About eight Wii Points Cards, 2000 points on each. Four of those were bought at once though, heavy reduction, plus a friends staff discount, resulted in half price points. Cha-ching!
EDIT: Make that 7 this year, and 19 in total. 19 x 2000 = 38,000 points. (15 x £17avg =£255) + (4 x £7 = £28) = £283.

Oh, wow. After reviewing my acount activity on the Wii Shop Channel for this year I have purchase 36000 points! However during the summer I found five 2000 point cards at Wal-Mart for $12 each. Note:I buy my Wii Points Cards tax free at Wal-Mart.
5000... Got 1000 left though, not enough interesting games being released this year...
Did you get Lost Winds 2?
For those 4000 points I've used up I bought one piece of Mega Man 9 DLC, Niki - Rock n Ball (stupid crap game), Bubble Bobble Plus!, Icarian: Kindred Spirits, Gradius ReBirth and finally LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias.
13,000 points so far this year (with 200 to spare atm) and I'm hoping that's not all, though it'll have to be a couple of good VC games before I buy more. That, or the DL munchies again.
