The thing has fallen at least six times since I got it in 2007. Nintendo makes their consoles almost invincible.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Tell me about it. My DS Phat's top screen has half fallen off, it still works fine. Still, I got a DSi cause of that.

How is it even possible to drop your wii after you have already set it up?!? Have you set it up yet or not I must ask because if you did, that would be just strange. There is one thing for sure and that is that I haven't dropped mine and I probably never will...

The primary cause is GC controllers getting yanked, I think.

I played Frisbee with it.

Luckily we're such good Frisbee tossers we didn't drop it. Not even the dog.

Wheeeeeeee.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I would recommend dodgeball with the Gamecube.

A 2nd grader broke mine, so now I have to turn it on and off with the wiimote instead pushing the power button.

You have a point, I never thought of it that way.

Not dropped, but fell over. Usually during Brawl, my dogs would run over the Gamecube controllers, which caused the Wii to fall over. Still works fine, but it caused our Mario Kart Wii to be unplayable to the point where we had to buy a new one.

Actually kind of sounds like fun. Too bad we only have one Gamecube; that makes it slightly less feasible than FrisWii.

I dropped mine on the road (long story...well, not really..). It stopped playing Gamecube games for a while...

After reading this thread it seems like the telephone is the Wii's worst enemy. >_<

A life well wasted...I'm working on it.

I knocked my Wii over whilst i was playing a gamecube game with a wired controller. I broke the covers for the Gamecube memory card and gamecube controller ports, but the machine has run fine ever since.

Well you can blame my cute cat for this.
Well I was sleeping one night woke up to a loud crash at the end of my bed.
So I grabbed my torch & looked to find my Wii on the floor.
I tested it works fine the only problem was a couple months later where it's stopped reading discs & I don't think it's even related.
The black panel that's normally underneath the camecube ports cover (mines removed before hand) it's got a white marke from my shelving.
Other than the DVD drive needed replacement it's works like a charm.

It was back in the day I still have a CRT TV. I come down the stairs and tripped over the doorstep. I used the tv to stop falling, but I had enough momentum to shove the tv away from me, knocking my Wii of the closet it was on. Thankfully my Dancing Stage Mario Mix dance pad was waiting to break it's fall. So nothing got hurt in the process.

Here are my Wii Dropping tales:

One day me and a friend where playing Mario Kart: Double Dash!! on my Wii. It was good fun, we were playing the GameCube stage and threw Bom-ombs like crazy at eachothe- Sorry, getting back on subject

So he just does the average Controller yank....but, he had so much force it pulled the wii right off the shelf and onto the Tile floor....The humanity! So, being my kid self, broke out in tears, my mom rushed in and sent my friend packing, and i probably didn't speak to him for about a couple of months.

Another tale is one day the shelves where i hold my gaming systems, one of the things that keep it up fell off. And so my Wii, Xbox, and N64 fell down on the floor. It gets better! When my dad is trying to fix it, it comes loose AGAIN and they all fall AGAIN!

So yes, pretty much even though i show only 2 Tales, my Wii has dropped about 4 times. My solution my people? Simple: LAY IT FLAT FOR GOODNESS SAKE! In my opinion, the stand was just a marketing gimmick to make it look different from the other consoles. You see, if you lay it flat, it has grips, and it reinforces it a little bit. Also, if it is in the stand it can tilt back and forth, eventually, like some other tales, will fall off.

And after all of this, my Wii still has not freezed or crashed, and has worked Fine (Except for the world renowned "Corrupt Files" glitch).

So that is my recommendation and my tales about Wii Dropping, Thank you bows

Seems like pets tripping over Gamecube controller cords is the most common cause of Wiis falling. Pet owners, do yourselves a favor and buy Wavebirds (or lock up your pets)...
