Topic: Gengis Khan II is our Virtual Console game today.

@Adam, TwilightV, Gabbo: Its something that's been explained a lot to him, so I'd suggest ignoring posts like this from now on.

As for why I'm not, besides sheer hypocrisy, I saw that he had posted on this thread (he'd mentioned the game before), and bet myself what his post would be. I won.

Smash Brothers Fan, at least three of us have explained to you in this thread, and I know more did in another thread about this game, that there are no copyright issues. You can't copyright Genghis Khan anymore than you can copyright George Washington, Adolf Hitler, or any other historical figure. You can only copyright fictional people, not real ones. Why do you keep ignoring these posts?

I don't think there is a copyright on a man who has been dead for centuries.

I should totally copyright "George Washington". Charge royalties on every $1 bill and Quarter. (I'm thinking $1 and $0.25 each, get an infinite loop going...)

Who? I'd be very happy to see this game released in the UK; even if it was the only VC release of the week.

Eh. I'm glad we won't be getting it at least not anytime soon.

But I'd still rather have this than no V.C. game that particular week if only to get it out of the way.

I think the conventional wisdom is that NoE hates gamers or something like that...mostly it seems to be sour grapes from every previous console generation from Nintendo. The Wii seems to have some decent balance vis a vis other territories. I guess the Japanese finally figured out that people in Europe have money or something...
