i like weird stuff, too, but i couldn't take it. i had no idea what was going on, storywise or gameplay wise (couldn't even figure out how to kill the first creature)... so i dropped it. i still have it though, and will probably give it another go with a more open mind pretty soon.

How many Cube games have you got? I think I've got around 60, a large part of which is still part of my backlog. I also realised around 15 of them are platform games; I miss the good ol' Cube days when we had loads of quality platforming games. On the Wii, when it comes to quality 3D platforming games, there's really only Mario.
got about 60, myself. a little more than that cause i've been buying up a few recently and haven't counted, but around there. i'm collecting the top games. regardless of genre. except for (realistic) sports, because they're obsolete after a year, and they're all the same anyway, and i don't like them a whole lot to begin with. but arcade sports i get (street games, mario sports, sega soccer, things like that) and pretty much everything else you can imagine. i get it if it's scored well, or if it interests me, or if its of minor signifcance and fills a gap in my collection. i don't really want to have EVERY GC game, just because as with any system there were a lot of crappy ones. but i've still a ways to go to get all the ones i want, so if you're ever thinking about trading/selling any, let me know.
and as for Wii platformers, i've heard Dewy's Adventure (or whatever it's called) is good, and half of Sonic Unleashed, and if you count WiiWare there's a lot there, but you're pretty much right.
Paper Mario the Thousand Year door is the #1 game for the gamecube. You must get it. unless you don't like RPGs. If you don't, you should check your brain, then get the game.

Dewy's Adventure has pretty mediocre scores, but I might pick it up. Sonic Unleashed I consider to be 2D (the good bits anyway) and I can't think of any 3D WiiWare platformers...?
Back on-topic, I also remembered another Cube jewel: Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. Very Zelda-ish, very awesome. Damn, there's a lot of good Cube titles out there, talking about it honestly makes the Wii feel a little lacking.
EDIT: I've got Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door... but I've yet to play it. sigh Like about half of my gamecube collection.
@tealover: well, Flip's Twisted World should be good...
Sphinx gets my approval, too. watch out for the bug, though, that makes you start over about halfway through. i was loving the game, but still haven't gone back and played through again since it screwed with my save file.

Legend of Zelda Windwaker Viewtiful Joe Super Mario Sunshine Soulcalibur 2 Prince of Persia Sands of Time Wave Race Blue Storm Paper Mario Thousand Year Door Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2 and 3 Beyond Good and Evil Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc TimeSplitters Spiderman 2 Resident Evil 4 and Metroid Prime 1 and 2 are superior as the "NPC" Wii versions. You may want to check out Resi Evil 1? Ikaruga Pikmin series and DK Jungle Beat I prefered on the NPC Wii too
I actually only have Windwaker and Soulcalibur 2 left out of my GC collection!
Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 Soul Caliber II Viewtiful Joe Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Zelda: The Wind Waker Pikmin 2 Bomberman Generation Super Smash Bros. Melee Pac Man World 2 Super Mario Sunshine Wario World
And people are recommending RE4 on the Gamecube? Why, when the superior RE4:Wii Edition is out? The controls are like night and day. RE1 and RE0 are also on the Wii and imo they play much better with the Wii Remote 'Nes Style' or the Classic Controller. Those games were ment to use the D-Pad.
Superior Wii Versions of GCN games >
Resident Evil 4 Pikmin Resident Evil Resident Evil Zero Metroid Prime Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
And I think I'll pass on DK Jungle Beat NPC for the Wii....Apperantly it's much better with the Gamecube Bongo's.
i hope NOA doesn't plan to release Pikmin 3 without also releasing Pikmin 2 NPC.
So ends a saga older than time itself. The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot in this place a...
Everyone seems to forget Tales of Symphonia. That game is amazing!

Viewtiful Joe (unless you can get the PS2 version, it has more playable characters) Viewtiful Joe 2 Chibi-Robo (never gets the love it deserves) Eternal Darkness Killer 7 Metroid Prime 1 and 2 (or if you have a Wii, get the Trilogy if you can find it) Skies of Arcadia Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy
