Hi everyone, I have a wii and it is the first console I have owned since the atari 2600, some friends have turned me onto GC games Eternal Darkness and Beyond Good and Evil, both of which I really loved playing. I also tried Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance which is not nearly as good but still a nice escape. This made me wonder if I am missing any other gems from the gamecube days. any suggestions?

Darn you Nintendo, my backlog is already out of control and you are just making it worse with these new game announcements!!!!
one way is to check metacritic and choose the best rated gamecube games. they're really quite good and incredibly cheap, which is awesome, but personally i really prefer the wii remotes - if only they could be somehow remade automatically on the console.
So ends a saga older than time itself. The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot in this place a...
Hmm let's see The Legend Of Zelda Wind Waker, The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess, The Legend Of Zelda Four Swords Adventures, The Legend Of Zelda Collector's Edition, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2, Super Mario Sunshine, Pokemon Colosseum, Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness, Star Fox Adventures Dinosaur Planet, Star Fox Assault, Pikmin, Pikmin 2, Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race Blue Storm, Super Smash Bros Melee, F-Zero GX, Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Skies Of Arcadia Legends, Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2, Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic Gems Collection, Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, Baten Kaitos Origins, Mega Man X: Command Mission, Mega Man X Collection and Mega Man Anniversary Collection just to name a few.
If you're into arcade shooters, Ikaruga is an easy choice.
yes, but if you have a low budget, as do i, it's not a cheap one. if you find it at a gamestop, it cost me $40... $10 more than what they charge for the gamecube itself!. i knew i wanted it, so i got it, but i had to save for a bit.

Resi 4, especially. FANTASTIC, even if you don't like horror games (it will scare you in parts... but as a whole it's more of an actoin game). it's one of my favorite games EVER.

Yeah, Resident Evil 4 was pretty much made of win.

Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time is sorely missed in this thread so far. What a jewel, one of the few games on the Cube that can compete with 1st party efforts. I'd put that in my top 5 with Wind Waker, Burnout 2, Melee and Metroid Prime.
If you're into weird stuff - like I am - there's also the Capcom "Five": Viewtiful Joe, Killer7, Resident Evil 4 and (to a lesser extent) PN 03.
@tealove: yes, PoP is great as well. another favorite of mine. i just don't want to take the time to list them all, because i collect GC games and the list would be huge.
and that's only 4, though they are all worth looking into. except killer7. i mean, you ought to try it, but it's not for everyone. i'm not a fan.

Oh yeah, that game is also pretty good. I have it on the PC.

What is known as "the Capcom Five" are in fact only four released games (and one canceled game - Dead Phoenix). I'm loving Killer7, but again, I like weird stuff.
