Topic: Frogger is coming to WiiWare

If you look below the Castlevania:The Adventure Rebirth listing, you guys will notice a WiiWare game called Frogger Returns is scheduled to be released this year, awesome!

Possibly awesome.

Why not call it Frogger ReBirth?

meh. you can't really do much with frogger.

Sure you could - did you ever see the size of that frog compared to the traffic on the road in the original game? No way would you want to run over a frog that big. Here's my idea:

"Maneuver your frog around the lanes in an attempt to get mega points by causing Burnout style pile-ups as vehicles swerve to avoid your giant mutated amphibian butt. Lick up or squash any escaping motorists as they exit their cars for extra points. You can even chase them into a fast flowing river and watch them drift over the edge of a waterfall or get ripped apart by crocodiles and giant mutant turtles or even crushed by snakes.

Of course you'll have to look out from them too as well as the odd shotgun wielding maniac driver and hey, don't forget you still need to get to the other side of the river in case you're having too much fun!

looking at Frogger for PSX makes me feel Iffy... 3D frogger games have been B*** S***. I want to see something 2D like the old 8-Bit Frogger! yeah the memories!

Whatever zaniness they put into the "reimagined" Frogger, I sure hope they include the original as bonus or side game.

Frogger on PS1 was actually pretty entertaining, so I have no problem with it if they follow a similar route here.

I am quite excited about this...memories of youth.

I wish the orginal would arrive for the VCA. Its still a fun game after all these years

@calculon I'd got for that. I meant more that companies WON'T don't anything interesting with frogger. They will make the graphics better, throw in some 3d and so on but it just ends up being a weak version of the original.

I've never understood the hate for Frogger on the PS1. I played that game with my sis a long time ago and I thought it was actually pretty fun. If you guys want to see a REAL crappy 3D version of a classic arcade game, give Q*Bert a spin.

I'm excited for this no matter how many dimensions it is. I love Frogger!

And the arcade game needs to come out on VCA too.

I'm only interested if the arcade version is included.

Q*Bert on the Playstation was awesome! I enjoyed the PS1 Frogger game as well.

frogger on ps1 was awesome, it was fun! Although the best ever ps1 game was croc, i loved it!!
