Topic: Free classic Metroid for first Trilogy buyers.

The first 5000 people who register Metroid Prime Trilogy, and have registered one of the three Metroid Primes, will be able to download the first game for free.....This is useless if you have it already...

If you're such a diehard Metroid fan that you are going to buy the same Prime games twice, chances are you already have the VC games. Seems like a poorly thought out promotion since it likely won't apply to many potential buyers, but oh well. I'm sure those who do get the free game will be happy.

@cryptonic: Of course, I didn't mean owt. I'm glad some get a free game jut a bit bummed I've already got it, can I have the 500 points instead? It's not long now, I'm so excited about playing Prime 1&2 with the IR control of Prim3. I've never known such awesome fan-service, not since the Zelda: Collectors Edition (minus dodgy Majora). It's gonna be a long wait till Other:M, this trilogy release eases that somewhat, mmmmm.

Wait a minute, doesn't MP1 already come with Metroid? (Unlockable, I think.)

Yeah you pretty much summed it up. I think it's stupid that it's just the first 5,000 as well, I think that there should be a voucher with the game that lets anybody who buys it DL the original, or at least gift it to a friend who doesn't own it. I mean, its a $5 game, I think its the least they could do for people, as you said, buying the games twice.
