Ratings have been so-so, just like in Japan. 70%-ish, people complain about the combat but praise the atmosphere and side stories.
I'm getting it just for the atmosphere, but probably when the price drops.
I'm guaranteed £650 sooner rather then later. So. Any game that I've got on my wishlist that gets 70% +, can consider itself OWNED!
To be honest even if the game sucked I'd still buy it. I try not to get swayed too much, the graphics look gorgeous, and if the side stories are praised, great.
Does this come with Japanese voices or not? As far as I understand, the characters in this game are somewhat like anime stereotypes, and I do not want to hear another American voice-actor's take on anime stereotypes. And it seems it is impossible to find a single English voice-actor who can pronounce Japanese words and names properly. (I cringed during every conversation in Persona 3.)
Usually something like that isn't enough to ruin a game though, but if this game relies heavily on its atmosphere, a bad dub could ruin everything.

Yaaay, then I'll buy it as soon as it's cheap enough to order online without having to worry about customs.

Jeezy petes, I can't keep up with the Wii any more. I still haven't picked up Tatsonuko, Desperate Struggle, or Final Fantasy CC, and now THIS beauty of a game is coming out. Not to mention Pokemon HG/SS just came out for DS and WarioWare DIY is just around the corner--this is just a little too much for me right now!

So ends a saga older than time itself. The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot in this place a...
I think subbing is a lot cheaper than dubbing (voice actors cost money ya know!), so that was a foregone conclusion that the Japanese audio track would be there. There's also graffitti which is apparently key to understanding the story completely, so hopefully that was also covered.
Got a mail from GAME stating my order is being processed, so with luck I'll have it tomorrow!
I played a preview version a few months ago and all the voiced dialogue was in English. The review copy should be here any day now so I'll update this when I know more
Hmmm, maybe just in the intro? Well, colour me surprised! If the audio dub is good them I'm fine, but I do recall reading something from Rising Star saying they were going to subtitle it.
i been playing it for few hours and it is a wonderful game, characters, story, music is all great the combat is a little shallow and with no auto lock on some enemies can be a pain when they run behind the character but besides that the game is nearly flawless
I enjoyed what I read about the mood and atmosphere but then I read reviews of the gameplay. I decided it's better to get Resonance of Fate now and wait until Fragile dips below the $20 mark.
