Just got back from buying the game, I'm excited about it. Reminds me of Eternal Darkness (great atmosphere & story, graphics are great, gameplay can be a little tedious but ultimately rewarding).
Well I'm hoping that this is a little more widely available than Calling is. I would like to try out this game sometime in the future, it looks promising and interesting. I could get used to clunky combat though, 'm one of the 20 people who actually enjoyed Plattchen!
My copy arrived yesterday; assuming I don't have to spend more time with Triple Shot Sports I should get a chance to explore some ruins at the week-end!
The HMV(where I usually buy games) and Game near me don't seem to have recieved shipments, I'm going to check back tomorrow but this is a pity.

Nintendo Power gave it a 5.5 and IGN gave it a 6.7...that really surprises me--both were really excited about this game. I still think I'll give it a look when there's a price drop, but if the reviews continue this way I don't think I could spend $50 on it in good conscience.

i played around 5 hours into the game and only completed the second stage and i love the game i have no problem with the gameplay that matt from ign had and i can't understand why people are giving the game bad reviews this is one of the best games i have bought this year and like it more then nmh2
Game is great so far, the visuals and mood are awesome. Battle is a little clunky and it's been a little "fetch-questy" so far but still very cool. Reminds me of a 'Spirited Away' type of anime movie.

That movie single handedly killed my interest in most of anime. But unlike most, I'm thinking of getting the game even at $50, it interests me to some extent and looks like a very unique experience.
^ Um, why? Spirited Away is one of the best movies ever. And anime can not be summed up by ONE movie. There's a lot of different stuff out there.

I'm thinking of just skipping the game now, I went looking for it everywhere and nowhere has recieved a shipment of it and even if I order off Amazon with express delivery it will take 2-3 Days by which point I'll be too busy to play it and next week both Pokémon and Red Steel 2 come out next week. It's a damn shame, I really wanted the game but Rising Star totally Fed up the distribution of it.

I don't know really I just hated it so much, I thought it lasted for way too long and just tried to confuse me in so many ways to the point where I couldn't even understand it at all. It killed my interest for a while because every time I saw anime I thought of this. No Matter what it was, but I'm back to watching it when I take a notion to. Luckily this doesn't look too bad as far as anime so I will pick up the game.

thats why i tell people to pre-order games its the same in america gamestores only get as many copies as was pre-ordered and maybe 1 or 2 more for people that didn't pre order it and just because you don't have time next week for the doesn't mean you can't buy it and save it for later if risingstar games anything like xseed they wouldn't make to many copies of the game

I don't really think that's right though, the majority of buyers don't pre-order and it's obviously an issue with the distribution of this game(so it wouldn't have mattered if I pre-ordered) because the HMV I go to still has copies NMH, LKS, Rune Factory and Muramasa(and others), all of which they had on day of release as well. I'll just be screwing myself out of money if I buy it and keep it for later as well because by the time I get to play it it will probably have had a price drop.

I agree with the clunky combat statement (mostly with the camera placement it's hard to tell how far you are from an enemy. Thankfully this isn't a game that's going to be big on action; it's more the story so I'm keen to see how it unfolds. Hopefully it's good enough that I feel like it's worth replaying someday, but for now I'm just enjoying it for what it is.

Definitely. This game is an experience, an interactive movie
