We do have a thread like this, but it died so you get a pass from me, which means you pretty much get absolutely nothing. Enjoy!
For me, it's Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, though I hope Tales of Graces gets here soon so I can bump that off the top.
As an aside, it's really sad when people start mentioning platformers with some RPG elements as the best RPG on a system. Tells me just how pathetic the system is on RPGs. Oh well, I'll go play my DS some more.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I didn't really like any of the Wii RPG's thus far but I would play Tales of Symphonia: a New Dawn or something named like that and that was ok, but it was really cheap. I think my brother liked it alot though.
Well, I dont know of any Wii (not DS port) existing RPG game. Remember, RPGs are complex games, and Wii is aimed for cooking and playing golf Seriously, it is weird to see so many decent RPG titles for DS and not a single one for Wii (Chocobos dungeon is plain crap, and not even a sad excuse of RPG).
WAIT what??? There are RPG's for Wii. Could've fooled me!! Although there isn't really many traditional RPG's being made for Xbox 360 or PS3. They seem to have fallen of of favour at the moment.Thankgod for the DS, there are enough on there to keep me going for quite some time
Lol, Legend of Zelda Twilight Princes and Okami are "action RPGs" after all. I'd say they're my favourites!
Anyway, Super Paper Mario (though that's got strong platformer elements too, so....).
There aren't that many decent RPGs on the Wii. Fire Emblem? Kingdom Hearts? Final Fantasy Chocobo's Dungeon? Haven't played them.
I tend to steer clear of RPGs nowadays as they take an immense amount of time to play. I used to dabble in the Final Fnatasies and the Paper Marios back in the day.
I'd rather play an RPG on my DS, if I do play the odd one.
My lad and I ARE working our way through the brilliant Mario and Luigi's B.I.S at the moment and I may consider Pokemon Platinum for him at some point in the future. BUT that's all.

If you liked Tales of Symphonia then you would probably enjoy the sequel a fair bit. It's not brilliant like the first is, but it's still a lot of fun and on an RPG-starved system like the Wii there's nothing really else to go for. As long as you don't expect too much, ToS:DotNW will treat you fine.
