If you could have a "wish" game pop up on the WiiWare, what would it be?
I ask, because the WiiWare is pretty well rounded these days in terms of what genres it offers up, but there's always room for more games!
I'd love to see a collectable card game, like Magic: the Gathering. The initial download would come with a "starter deck", online play and perhaps even a 1-player mode (but, like Magic: the Gathering online, the latter wouldn't be necessary). You'd jump online into a lobby system and play tournaments and friendlys, and booster packs could be purchased as DLC.
That kind of game is something that would be a pretty big hit on WiiWare, I reckon.
There's so many good ones already it's hard to say. I think I'd like to see more simple arcade-style games generally - just blatantly rip off the classic Atari 2600 games and give them a fresh paint job and I'd be happy in all honesty.
Anything with Star Trek in it - there's just not enough Star Trek games. Someone should make a Star Fleet Battles game on WiiWare - basically take Conquest and make it more like Nectaris with online play and everything - that would be awesome!
WaltzElf, that would be awesome to have. I was thinking Yu-Gi-Oh but that's only because its the only trading card game I ever learned to play well. That or Worms Battle Islands to come out already...
I allways liked Magic the gathering. Would be really nice if they could bring something like that to the Wiiware, but I don't know how many people would be willing to spend money on virtual trading cards. And I have a hard time allready to find people to play the current online games, so don't think it would really work. But if they don't try, we will never know...
A chess game with some really nice graphics and option for online play would also be welcome.
I would love an updated Death Race. WIth Zombies being as popular as they are you'd think there'd be a million of them by now. Imagine Dead Rising meets Blaster Master meets Mario Kart.
I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.

It's not a video game, but if you have a group of friends to get together, may I suggest a "board game" (actually a card game) called Dominion? It can be had for around 30 bucks and it stands alone, so you don't have to buy boosters. It's crazy fun and plays different every game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominion_(game)

I'd like to see some high-quality board game conversions.
Settlers of Catan and Carcassonne are both successful games on XBLA now, but would be great fits for WiiWare too (if only MS didn't hold the rights). Some other games that would work well, even if most people have never heard of them? Agricola. Tigris & Euphrates. Pandemic. Ticket to Ride. Go. Acquire.

Great call. I cross posted and didn't see this, but it's a good suggestion... and since Dominion has a bunch of expansions you would even be set for DLC updates.
A 2D sidescrolling multiplayer action RPG Crystal Chronicles games, based purely on the fact that Akitoshi Kawazu mentioned that he thought Muramasa looks great in ONM a while back.

This! Conquest with some form of multiplayer would be great. I'd like to see more Star Trek as well. My dream would be something like Infinite Space but in the ST universe...
A Magic: the Gathering style game would be neat as well. I have played that card game a bit too much... As for more board games, the Talisman-game that was planned a while ago would be really neat. Guess it was canned though.

I know Catan isn't a Microsoft license - it's on the PSN in Japan as well.
I too would love to see board games - the old Avalon Hill military games would be great - War and Peace is one of my favourite board games of all time.
I'd also love to see more Roguelike games on the Wii - like Chocobo!

yes! or a star trek point&click like the TNG adventure game for the pc.
So ends a saga older than time itself. The World's oldest and fiercest army has been led to victory, and a lost generation is delivered from its fear of extinction. As the sun sets over the field of conflict the dinosaurs disperse, hoping never to set foot in this place a...
Well, it probably wouldn't fit in WiiWare, but a Star Trek tactical RPG would be a dream come true really...seriously the Star Trek license is just wasted on Bethesda - it should go to Square-Enix or Sega.
If you're talking board games, if you allowed for Wii-speak (between select players) I'd say Diplomacy would be awesome!
That would be awesome.
How about Blokus? Everyone loves Tetris style puzzle games and this is a great one that takes chance out of it. Give it Wii Speak and online play and it would put Uno to shame.
