Be there any compulsive gamblers out there who were even vaguely tempted to purchase "Fantasy Slots", prithee defer this desire, and direct it towards less abysmal ends.

Here is what you do in this "game". press the "A" button. that is all. there is a pointer, but it matters not where it's pointed. just press "A", watch the spinning, lose; repeat. there are no substantive variations- not even a little waggle motion to simulate pulling the crank. Even the side games are based on pure random luck (in a "what's behind door #3" kind of way).

I think for a video game version of slots to work, there has to be some kind of angle you can play to influence, even in a small way, the outcome. something that requires skill- a la pinball or Peggle. Slots just require you to pull the switch. A simple machine could manage this mindless task. If it's a real game of slots, at least there's the chance of a real world payoff. Minus that there is NOTHING to recommend this, not even the generic clip art that graces the differently themed machines.

In summation- grade z shovelware, I predict a 2/10 or below from the unfortunate soul charged with the review of this execrable excuse for entertainment.

I know this message is to the service of few, as you lot are savvy fellows who can spot this kind of thing from a distance, but if even one person was on the fence, I hope I have served them well and saved them the fiver that I have lost. If you want video game slots- play a Dragon Quest game and hang out in their casinos.

Even the casinos in Pokémon games have a skill game now.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

That would be me.

You provided some inaccurate information, actually. Only one of the side-games is based on luck. The other 5 aren't.

While it wasn't intentional, it was careless-- after playing all the various slot machines, I tried the first mini game on offer and found it to be equally luck based, I got rather disgusted and deleted the thing. The assumption that the other games would be luck based was unwarranted, but apparently my assumption that they would ultimately add little value to the package was not. Should I offer further opinions on other games, I'll be more careful.

However, I did correctly guess the review score--- do I get some kind of no-prize for that?
