Topic: Ever had a problem with Wii artifacting?

I don't know how fast Nintendo UK is, but mine was back within a week. So there is hope for you and you're Wii this Christmas .

Sent it last tuesday and have the confirmation for repair. £27.00 pounds in total which is reasonable since its a first generation machine, also a new 12 month warranty.

Now my games will be looking crisp, Muramasa, mega man 9, vc nes games, res evil 4.

Expecting it back next week but I could get lucky this week.

So they are able to repair your Wii rather than send you a completely new one? I hope that's the case because I really don't wanna lose my original system and have to re download hundreds of VC games.

yeah. They are replacing the graphics chip. Comes back as a factory standard but retains references to downloaded content. I have it all on an SD card. They told me to call them if I have any problems. Forgot to mention it was out of warranty.

Well if it's only artifacts thay can easily transfer all the files over they even have a special disc in those repair centers & one of it's functions is to transfer all the files to a new Wii via the help of an SD card.

Just got a note that my wii is repaired and dispatched today so im hopefull to get it before christmas now. Forgot to back up my mii data so have lots to redo if I can be bothered.
