Earth Seeker is an upcoming Wii action/adventure game that looks exciting. It's being developed by some ex-Capcom staff in a new studio called Crafts & Meister. Here's a description from Play-Asia:

Stranded on a foreign planet is the least of your concerns in Earth Seeker, that place is full of monsters. Stop time in the real time battles to combo them. There are no complicated sequence of inputs, this easy to master system will appeal to players who are unaccustomed to action games or turn based battles.

Besides stopping time, players can recruit allies into their team. The inhabitants of the planet - Guardians each master their element. With a bit of alcohol in your possession, you can have them fight for you. Come explore this dangerous and colorful world.

Destructoid and GoNintendo have a bit more info and pictures too:

Noritaka Funamizu, game developer wrote:

The game kicks off on a post-apocalyptic Earth. All the world's human heritage gets packed into a spaceship and evacuated off the planet, but the spaceship crashes into another planet and its cargo gets scattered all over the place. The ship's main computer is trying to recreate Earth's ecosystem on this planet, but the crash has affected it and it's producing all this messed-up plant and animal life instead, which is hugely impacting the land.

Yeah, Japan only, I presume.

Actually, I wouldn't be so sure about that just yet.

If Kadokawa Games trademarking of Rodea the Sky Soldier (Yuji Naka's upcoming Wii game) in the US is any indication, its quite possible that KG may consider releasing Earth Seeker overseas. If so, it would be great if XSEED, after their fantastic handling of Rune Factory Frontier, were chosen to be responsible for it's localization.

Go XSEED!

The art alone makes me interested in this game (one of the better attempts at a sort of 3D anime look I've seen in a game). Description of the game seems kinda generic but it seems like it could be done really well here.

Well said. This game looks beautiful. Anyone who says "yeah but it would look better in HD" is a jerk who deserves to be slapped.

Of course it would look better in HD. Simple fact.

honestly i'm not really a fan of most hd graphics. devs try to make it look realistic but it just ends up looking weird. in my bopinion anyway, don't yell at me for saying that

I was talking more about how HD graphics would be able to smooth the edges and add extra detail. HD doesn't have to mean realistic or gritty.

Wow
It looks really good.
I haven't seen a good looking Wii games since DonkeyKong Country Return.
Why can Wii have nice things?

I know what you mean, GuardianAcorn, and I agree with you. No matter how powerful graphics get, game designers will apparently always have a hard time making people that don't look awkward and like they're made out of plastic. There's something about HD that makes things look unnaturally crisp that I just can't get used to.
