You appear to enjoy throwing away your money completely unnecessarily, so I say go for it!

Surely the extensive library of DSi software available, would answer that question, and don't forget the awesome amounts of love it has been receiving via the DSi shop.

Really? Because no-one needs both a DS phat and lite, and you have both! It's super redundant - buying extraneous hardware instead of software that the hardware is meant to play kinda strikes me as throwing money away.

I don't know the prices exactly in the UK, but I'm sure their roughly proportional to Canada, where I live. And here, you can get 6 or 7 DS games for the price of a DSi. So before you go out and buy it, think if it's worth it to you to splurge on yet another DS, or, would you rather get 7 DS games instead.

Check out this list of DSiware and see if any of those titles grab you and make the system a must-buy, like Halo was for the xbox & 360, or SMG was for Wii to many people. If there are games on that list that you're just dying to play, then it's worth it.

I'm going to say no, but mostly because the DSi isn't attractive to me. It boasts a camera and a little extra power, but the only thing that will matter in the long run is DSiWare & wifi stuff. Unless that's a big deal to you, keeping in mind that most downloadables are shovelware, I'd still advise no. I bought a handheld device to play games, not loiter on Facebook.

If your current DS Lite breaks, you really want downloadable DSiWare, or just want to give Nintendo more money, then sure. Also, eBay your DS phat.
