Topic: Drift Mania Discussion

After seeing the preview for this on the front page, call me interested now. It's got the look of the old games Off Road (Arcade, NES). Really cool. And it appears that it'll be a good price at 800 points. Can't wait to hear impressions. And a North America date would be nice too!

I'm hoping that the other modes that aren't the challenge modes (Team Race, Meteorite, Contamination, Cold potato and V.I.P) allow for the CPU to fill in those spots because finding 7 others isn't happening for me.

I expect it to hit our way August 3rd. The whole concept appealed to me from the very beginning, really.

Having a game that's like Ivan Stewart's Off Road is cool. And the pictures of the game look good. Better than the what was out then. I hope it ends up with good controls and not sloppy.

Analog was a good call and they didn't wanna make it "gimmicky" by adding motion controls and in so doing they kept challenge factor up.

so stoked. i love that there are a total of 32 different vehicles to use with different attributes, and i also like the semi-stylized graphics.

Can't wait. I actually thought it would be out today but alas, that's not the case. I'm 99% sure we're getting it next week alongside TOMI Episode 2.

I played Super Sprint on Midway Arcade Treasures last night and the control on that is soooooo bad compared to Driift Mania that I just cannot play it. The developers Konami hired to do this game did a really nice job; I think you guys will be pleased.

ONM gave it a 90%! Though I think they were being over nostalgic!

im waiting for it to come out cuz its an automatic buy for me im relly sure its coming next week cuz i searched up driift mania release date and everything said august 2009

It is a really fun game, but it takes a while to get a hang of it. There are a few things that annoy me (such as not being able to tell whichh way your car is facingg sometimes), but it is definitely worth the money, and even better in multiplayer!

Impatiently waiting for both this and the new Contra from Konami (and the original NES Contra for that matter...).
I was very disappointed to see Konami doing so little to push the new Contra. It wasn't at or mentioned at E3. (there was even a WiiWare display at the Nintendo booth with games like Cave Story and Military Madness, but no Contra...I don't think Nintendo understands the value of that title).
I adore 8-player games (same console) and I'm a long fan of Super Sprint/Badlands/Off-Road/Michael Andretti Arcade, hoping this hits on Labor Day .

Great game but only really for the multiplayer, organising eight-player games is a bit impractical but four is doable.
