Topic: Dear NL reviewers wheres Big game hunt 2010?

So i was thinking about picking this up, if only for the gun (use it with COD/MW/reflux), but looking thru the internet (read youtube and amazon reviews) it looks possibly fun. Personally I trust your reviews more then any other site because while your honest you also take a game for what it is and not focus on what other consoles do/have done (read graphic hores) so I looked for your review. Turns out though you dont even have the game listed. Is this on purpose (read peta friendly?) or are there games you just dont list?

Well, the Nintendo Life crew just don't have the time to review some games. They mostly rely on the download front of Nintendo. They usually review some big name games, but they probably just don't have the time to list games and review them.

figured as much but shouldnt they still list it?

I'm sure they'll get around to listing it. I wish they could at least let me help the site by adding new game profiles. Did you hear that guys? I'll do that for free!

I'm not sure about the listing, but it really depends if we own a game whether we'll review it or not, as I'm sure most people who visit here are aware we do buy pretty much all of the games we review out of our own pocket. Our main policy is that every downloadable game for DSiWare and WiiWare will be reviewed.

Some games on the Wii (like Opoona, which Sean reviewed) will just be later than others as Sean just purchased it at a later date. I'm definitely glad you trust our reviews though hoodtrix!

Well said my lark. This sight has great reviewers, mods, community, and whatever else I'm missing.

Like chunky says, mostly these games are purchased off our own back (including the downloads -- definitely the Japanese ones in my case!), which will explain why games you never heard of like Arcade Zone are on the site.

We do get some review copies of discs because we're getting some notice by publishers (which will explain the presence of games you didn't need to hear about like Ninja Captains), but it really depends on the PR and publishing contacts staff members have.

I've put an inquiry to the site admins, but I don't know if we'd be able to get this one or not.

ty all for your input. I diff should have noted I completely understand you can review every game, I was curious about games not listed in your list. I didnt realize you paid out of your personal pocket, I figured you got demo's or the money made from adds paid for it. I have even more respect for you all. That being said, have you guys thought about allowing members to post their own reviews of the games? not to be confused with or sanctioned by NL but just some sort of more permeant thing rather then seeping through the forums.

That's certainly on the to-do list, but the to-do list is large and I'm not sure when that's coming.

Count me in as someone who would be willing to submit reviews. As someone who has to write for a living (for the most part), I think I could probably do a respectable job.
