Dead Space Extraction and RE Darkside Chronicles are my favourite railshooters on the Wii. 9/10 Sin & Punishment too if you want to consider this.
Third is The House of the Dead Overkill, followed by RE Umbrella Chronicles, and then The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return. 8/10 If you're from a PAL region just make sure you get the UNCUT version of Dead Space Extraction, preferably UK version.
I own most of the rail shooters available for Wii (I'm just missing Darkside Chronicles and Gunblade NY/LA Machineguns) If you're into the genre enough to ignore poor presentation (graphics, sound etc) then go for Ghost Squad or HOTD 2&3, they have the best gameplay but look pretty bad because they're ports of old arcade games. DSE is very cinematic and I found it dull, but it's definitely the most polished experience on offer. HOTD Overkill is probably a good halfway point, it isn't as tight or replayable as Ghost Squad or HOTD 2&3, but it's much more fun than DSE.
Sin and Punishment is also amazing, not strictly a rail shooter as vonseux said but check out some videos, if you like the look of it then go for it. It's almost flawless.
I don't think i've played many First Person games other than the Metroid Primes and most of the on-rail shooters on the Wii. It could be because of this that i found the atmosphere to be amazing and profiting from the shaky, realistic camera a lot. Only played it on an easy difficulty but the shooting seemed to be alright. Not as good as in HotD: Overkill though. Story wise don't expect much, it's more or less just a "we want to survive and get out of here".
