Topic: Chinese Wii Zapper

I am thinking of getting a Zapper, but I'm not really interested in getting Crossbow Training with it, so I've been looking at one of these on eBay.

Now, the image used here is the same as the one Amazon use for the official Zapper, so I'm a bit wary in case it doesn't look anything like it. On the other hand, it could be a near-identical clone, and it's just easier to steal the official image than create a new one.

So my question is, has anyone bought one of these Chinese Zappers, and if so, what are they like?

Looks like they're just selling the standard Ninty Zapper, just without LCT. But be wary of Chinese videogame-product sellers, especially on eBay. They may be selling a cheap plastic knock-off in the same shape of the official Zapper that will break as soon as you hold it.

I'd say no, just off his BS selling points. Take #5 for instance:
(5)Must Have for Resident Evil 4, Call Of Duty, Red Steel ect.

Nevermind the typo on "etc," have you ever tried playing RE4 with a Zapper? Red Steel??? Is he joking?

Get a used OEM model from GameStop or your local re-dealer - or borrow one from a friend who doesn't use it anyway.

I have heard they break extremely easy. The Chinese knock offs like these.

Or buy Link's crossbow training (it's less than £18 brand new) and sell the game alone on ebay?

Yeah, I'd avoid Chinese knock-offs. You get what you pay for most of the time.

I would say it depends on the price you pay for it, if you can get it for really cheap it may be worth taking a chance, it would be a different story if it was a Wiimote or a Nunchuck, but this is only a piece of plastic and so may turn out to be fine. It just depends do you want to take that chance or not.

I would stay away from anything japanese. i bought something from ebay from a person who lived in japan...it broke in a week

Just let it happen.

The question is, would you buy anything from China (the land of the cheap knock offs and dangerously faulty goods) for one cent?

(I wouldn't.)
