Are there different endings in the game depending on the difficult level you choose in the options menu? In Contra Rebirth the last boss (with the rotating screen) is not available if you play on easy mode and you do not get the "real" ending. Is that also in Castlevania Rebirth? Is there anything missing when playing on easy mode?

Yep. On Normal Mode Dracula has an extra form.

However I'm pretty sure the endings for all of the difficulty modes are the same.

Thanks. In that case I guess it's better to stick with Normal mode.

Edit: Now where I think about it, I believe the endings in Contra Rebirth are also the same. I may have confused it with Contra III or another game.

@Vonseux If it was the final boss in Contra ReBirth, did you have the powerful blue laser?
Apologies if I am just stating the obvious here, but I find that in most Contra games, stashing the blue laser in a spare weapon slot is always a good idea. It is noticably stronger than most other weapons, particularly those with a wider spread (like 3-way shots & homing missiles).

I am passionate about retro gaming, from antiquated consoles to the continuation of classics. Obviously I love PSone, and PS2 retro games. I blast my ears to breakneck melodic punk, gruff vocals and nimble alternative guitar hooks.

Not that it has something to do with Castlevania but I have beaten Contra Rebirth on Normal mode without continuing. I practiced every level many, many times with the debug menu which is available in the european version and finally did it with only one life left. (Claps myself on the shoulder.) I have heard there is a level select (for practice purposes) in Castlevania Rebirth, too: When selecting "Game Start" and holding right on the D-Pad for a few seconds. Haven't tried it yet (?).
