Maybe it has already been discussed, but why cant Capcom release any of their Disney games. Ducktales (NES), Chip and Dale (NES), Mickey mouse magical quest (SNES) and Aladin (SNES). These are great games, and it would be a pity if anyone missed them.
Licensing issues. And yeah, DuckTales and Aladdin were very fun. I've yet to play Magical Quest for the SNES (I'll order it in a few weeks), but I'm sure it's good. And I agree, stu, it would be a pity to miss out on such classics.
It's mainly due to the licensing issues. Getting the games on the Virtual Console will be very difficult. We all know how that worked out with the TMNT games. All games are questionable at best.
But seeing any Capcom's Disney game will be very unlikely. However, nothing is impossible
I think with the appearance of Epic Mickey as a Wii exclusive it's possible that something could happen. Disney seems to be more interested in doing their own games and promoting the Disney brand in games so I could see them doing a deal with Capcom to get these released on the VC (see Buena Vista Interactive's licensing of Midway's Tron games for inclusion on the GBA version of Tron. 2.0). I think if it was down to Capcom alone without Disney being interested in games there'd be no chance, but I wouldn't rule it out given the current state of affairs.
Like Lucasarts with Star Wars, Disney Interactive could technically publish VC games featuring Disney characters as they own the licenses but ONLY if they had developed the game originally. The Genesis version of Aladdin is an example of this. Other Disney games produced by other companies might have legal issues surrounding them, however.
Future Wii purchases: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Metroid: Other M Zelda Wii New Super Mario Bros. Wii Sin and Punishment 2

That game is going to have to sell millions of copies if we want more then next to zero chance of the Disney games coming out on the Virtual Console.
@Rapadash9: While thankfully no Disney games have legel issues (Earthbound anyone?), but they do have licensing issues, regardless of how much Disney wants to support the Virtual Console. Also, Disney has not developed any games by themself. It's a three-way deal here. For Capcom's Disney games, for releasing those game on the Virtual Console, Nintendo will have to split the profit between themself, Capcom, and Disney. Disney receive most of it, Capcom is in the middle, and Nintendo gets the least. And according to Nintendo, earning the least amount of money on something is a huge problem for them, so we're not going anywhere yet. We could, but we're not quite yet.
And beside, we haven't even got the rest of the TMNT games, so we have to try to get those games out of the way before we can even consider trying to get Disney games on the Virtual Console.
I'm sure Nintendo would earn a decent amount of money if they decided to release the best Disney games for NES, SNES and Mega drive, as I think that some people would even by a Wii for this reason.
