Let's try to help each other in BB+. Be sute to provide as much info as possible on the stage that you're stuck on and if possible, post a pic or, better yet, a video.
You do exactly what he's trying to do. You just have to make sure that you're flush up against the wall while facing the other direction (which is much easier said than done...)
Might as well ask here: does anyone have a strategy for classic level 35 ("jump!" -- picture here) that doesn't require getting a super-item or dying? I have one that'll work on the arcade version, but it requires bubble-jumping from the top of the screen back "up" to the bottom, which is no longer possible.
I can beat it just fine; the problem is beating it without dying. Right now I start off by jumping to the top immediately before the guys up top move into position, but then I can't get the guys down below without getting a super-item or dying. If I wait and take care of the guys on the bottom first, then I can't get up top without dying.
I'm actually suck on the Level right before that: Level 71. Dunno how to beat those two enemies on the sides without losing all my lives.
It's hard to answer this without seeing the air currents, but what you probably want to do is bubble-jump up from the bottom so that you're stuck inside the wall, facing the monster. If you're positioned just right you can attack him while still safely inside the wall. This is a trick they expect you to use in the late-game (several levels are literally impossible without it).
On the level where you start with very little room(don't remember what level, stand still, blow bubbles and jump up, repeat. If you move before this it will be very hard to blow bubbles and get out.
KnucklesSonic8 - I don't recall which stage that is, but if I saw a picture I could probably help you.
Hey thanks. I get what you mean. I'll give it a shot. Too bad there's no Level Select, hm? As for Level 35 strategy, I think I had to die also but I don't remember exactly. I'm sure there's a way.

If you are talking about level 72 this will not work. They don't start you out against the wall. I've been trying to get past this level for the past 30 minutes have haven't even gotten close to getting out of that corner. This is a bug, compare level 72 on Wii-Ware to other systems (videos of them are on YouTube), the other versions leave you with plenty of room to blow bubbles. They need to fix this!
They definitely did change the physics in this version, and it does make level 72 much more difficult than it was in the original and in most ports. However, whether or not this is technically a bug is debatable. At any rate it's not impossible, just frustrating as heck.
@SteveW- I did it this way. So it should work. Don't touch your D-pad at all when you first get to that level. Then just jump blow bubbles and bounce out (Without touching the D-pad. There is just enough room if you do it this way exactly. If you move your D-pad your screwed. Trust me I spent a long frustrating time on this level too.
When I lost all my lives (from the time running out) I tried that. I did a continue but it didn't start me out in a position where I could blow any bubbles.
You're saying that it will put me in different spot when I first reach the screen than it does if I die and restart that screen? thanks, I'll try that...
If that still doesn't work, I find it's easier to turn around in midair instead of on the ground. That is, stand a bit to the right of the wall, jump to the left so you're pressing up against the wall, then just barely tap right before you land.
Well... they say that beating level 72 can be done, I'm just curious... how many hours of jumping does it take? has anyone here really beat that level? someone should post a You Tube video.
I emailed Taito and here is the response I got back...
Thank you very much for being a fan of Bubble Bobble and sorry for being delay in replying you, Regarding the problem at level 72, it is difficult but there is way to clear the stage. Please try various ways with patience.
SteveW - I did it. Went all the way to the end. So, did you NOT touch your dpad at all when you started that level and then blew bubbles and jump while still NOT touching the dpad? Sorry for repeating myself. I do believe you should be able to get out this way though. I may have to go through it again to make sure I can do it again, though.
@SteveW- Sorry Steve. I just went back to that level to see if I could do it the way I thought I did. I must have not done it that way(I thought I remembered doing it that way though). Anyways apparently you can't do it the way I said, because it doesn't start you up against the wall like I thought. Billmaan's right though, stand flush against and facing the wall, jump and slightly tap the dpad(may take some practice). I would do this but when I jumped I'd push one more time in the direction of the wall then quickly tap away from it, while still in the air. That seemed to work for me. Again I'm sorry. I could have checkeck that before, but as you know, that's alot of levels to do in one sitting. Don't worry about THIS advise though, I kept redoing it over and over to make sure it could be done again.
You're right! Finally I beat level 72! Thanks for the advice! it's really easy once you have the trick.
1. Go all the way to the right wall 2. Jump and tap left while in mid air (a very quick tap, you don't want to move, only turn around) 3. You will land in a perfect spot to blow bubbles and jump to the top
Step 2 was what messed me up, if you turn around while just standing you move too far, you have to be in the air when you turn around.
@ SteveW - cool! I'm glad It worked for you. Sorry about my memory. Must have thought I was crazy when I said just stand there and jump huh? When I was first on that level I was jumping around like crazy thrying to blow those bubble and get on then and once in a GREAT while that'd work. I did eventually find a way out on my own but it was a pain in the butt. I think I got better at turning in mid air when I found out I had given you the wrong advice.
@Billmaan -Well Yours turned out to be the correct advice. I thought you could stand and jump, but remembered wrong, I guess. I did jump out but either I did it like you said, or got lucky and turned on the ground. Something like that. Must have forgot. Since you advised that you thought it was easier to do it in the air, I just tried to do that. After doing it for awhile, I can do it fairly easily now. When I first played level 72 It wasn't so easy to turn midair or otherwise. At least it wont take me so long now. I think I thought it was hard to jump or stand and turn before. Guess I just needed practice (at least on the jumping part.
