To answer a few of your questions. The game controls similar to Goldeneye. After all it is made by the same company even if they borrowed it from within. Reflex was 5 on 5 so much more hectic if it still is 5 on 5. Also no you need not worry about playing any previous game. Think of it as different spin offs of the same franchise. As for downloadable content. It remains to be seen. Reflex never got any and don't know if the Wii can handle any more then its already putting out!

I'm probably the only one on this site to play the Wii version. Only Zombie Mode is working online for me at the moment. Is there ANYONE who has the game or has run into the same problem?
I also play the Wii version! In fact, I'm the one who made the Ally Codes topic in the online section. And yes, I ran into the same problem: Zombies worked, Multiplayer didn't. I read a few different solutions for the problem online, such as:
-Make a second profile, then go back to your first profile and it should work (this is how I got it to work) -Change your profile name -Reconfigure your internet settings and/or reset your router
If none of this works, then I don't know what to tell ya.
Thanks I tried your profile thing and that works most of the time, although I heard there was an easier way. I have yet to figure it out though. What surprises me about the online is how unrestrictive it is. Nintendo must have gotten laid or something as they let a lot of things go. Friend codes are almost non-existent with the new "allies" system. Codes are only there for more personal exchanges. Heck, if you opt to keep voice chat on, you can hear everyone with the Headbanger headset through the television. Racist, sexist, homophobic 13-year-olds rejoice! Maybe this has to do with Nintendo trying to form better relations with 3rd parties or it could be that they were more liniant on an M-rated title.
There are a number of issues that bother me with the game overall, most of them being technical annoyances that come from trying to port an HD-centric title to Wii. After playing the game and noticing how frame-y it can be sometimes I can see why Activision opted not to show any footage of the title. That would actually be a detriment to potential buyers who would judge the game off of a few crappy YouTube vids. I feel the controls are never quite as smooth as Goldeneye's. Also, based purely on what I've read/heard. There are a number of omissions that don't make since. No split-screen and Theater Mode is one thing, but there are things that aren't in there that seem to be related to memory or something. There is only one zombie mode map and I believe clan tags, a flamethrower attachment and even some killstreak bonuses are missing.
It may sound like I don't like this game but I actually love it. Not quite as much as Goldeneye as that makes for a better Wii-centric experience with fewer issues, but it's still a darn fine game despite a variety of technical hiccups. If you like shooters and Wii is your only console you could certainly do a lot worse.
@tech101 According to the manual, there is a Call of Duty Store where you use Wii Points to download new content like features and maps to an SD card, but I don't even see the Store option within the game. It will likely be patched in later though, as I heard Treyarch was given the okay to send patches to the game (again, Nintendo must have been really supportive of this title).

Yep, just got the Wii and DS review copies in today. Right now I'm working on the Blood Stone DS review and some Kinectaku stuff, but I'll try to get this one up ASAP. Check back next week for it.
I assume this wont work, but can someone playing this on the CPU connect with someone on a 360 in wifi? Probably not, but that would be...interesting for me.

Nope unless they have a mixed platform server otherwise all 360 players play 360 players all PC players play PC and all Wii play Wii. In otherwords each systems has its own server.

I only glanced at the manual, so I didn't know this. There's still hope for DLC on the Wii (well, I guess it's been pretty much confirmed) and I can't wait to see it.
Black Ops DLC eh? How its gonna fit map packs etc., I will not know...
I thought Nintendo only helped PDP with the Headbanger Headset, but it seems Treyarch and Nintendo worked hand in hand to make it as good as the HD versions... but since its in the manual, but you can't find it in the game, maybe it isn't true? But since the game can be patched, who knows?
No here in America we only have teen 13 and up and mature 18 and up. If you go to the right place you can buy the game here in the states. But Most major retailers wont see to minors!
