Well, lets speak about one thing, is not the game, is the box! The Boxart! So wich is your favourite boxart ever?
I like the Monster Hunter 3 boxart, also the one from sin & punishment 2: star succesor. And talking about upcoming titles my favourite is the one of kirby's epic yarn!
Are we talking about the box art for Wii games or other console games as well?
Anyway, my favorite Wii game box art is this one:
If we're talking other game console box art, then this is my favorite (but I only saw it online, man I wish I could import it, I've heard so many great things about this game):
Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Just like how (imo) Samurai Warriors 3 > Monster Hunter Tri, as does the boxart.
I much, much, much prefer the minimalist-style Final Fantasy boxarts (Japan/ Europe) to the detailed cover art of the US. Simple, elegant and beautiful - that's art.
One of my favourite horror games of all time. Great boxart too.
Another boxart I like at the moment is the one from goldeneye, just black background and golden letters, simple but cool. And one I think they can make a better job is the one of disney epic mickey, I think it is too simple, they can add much more things in there!
It is possible to tell a game by its cover, at least since the late 1990s just in case anyone is wondering. Having worked in game retail for quite a few years in my adult life, you will occasionally come across a game no one knows anything about, but know right off the bat whether its worth buying or not, at the very least to you, its an acquired skill.
I don't feel that any of the boxart shown can be considered a favorite of mine, I'll need to browse through my collection to dig some up.
In regards to the Chrono Trigger box, yes, it is awesome, but something that always bothered me is that scene never happened in the game. =)
What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.

Yeah that always made no sense to me the scene on the Chrono Trigger box. I dont know if that was maybe early concepts or maybe that was the artists (who is the same guy that does Dragonball) favorite parts in the game cause all three parts are in the game. Heckran (the creature they are fighting) is in a cave in the game. Marle doesnt do fire magic she does water and the background is obvious the time period with Zeal either before of after the palace is destroyed. Still its a good picture.
My favorite box art has been the Japanese version of Symphony of the Night with Alucard on the the box art. Much better than the crummy picture of the castle we got in the US version. I would post a pic of it but I dont know how.

Since pics have already been posted, my fav's at the moment are Donkey Kong Country Returns and Kirby's Epic Yarn, for sure. Kudos to KaiserGX for posting the Pokemon Blue/Red boxarts...man, do those bring back great memories!
