Topic: Best 2-d platformers for wii

I have Kid Icarus. And its just hard. (period) Its fustratingly hard. Levels are kind of long and if you lose, you start over. Enemies come in swarms that are just ridicoulous. Kind of slippery controls make it hard for the very fine platforming secctions. Im not saying its bad, but I believe Sonic 2 is better.

Will people answer my question? What the heck was that cologne thing about, anyway?

lol anyway I think Sonic is a better value because it's less repetitive than Kid Icarus's constant enemy-killing spree

As a platformer - Super Paper Mario is a joke.

As a RPG I did not think much of it either......the Wii game that disappointed me the most, but just my opinion. In comparison to the GC one anyway....

I cannot bring myself to buy wario either, and I do not think VC games count - or GC games like DKJB.

So, I will go with New Super Mario, unreleased, it is the best 2-d platformer on wii, lol.

Sigh... They don't sell those Pepsis (the ones with free points) in Canada... I really like Super Paper Mario, it's probably #4 on my favorite Wii games.

Now I've got a problem. I can only get one of these 3 with my next points card (which I won't get for two months, lol): Revenge of Shinobi, Doremi Fantasy, and Donkey Kong Country. I've never truly played a dk game. The closest I've gotten is the nes masterpiece on brawl (which I can't get far at all in). As for the others, they're supposed to be really good, and I can't decide. So, which one?

Id get DKC. Any of the three will do. Youve got good choices, so Id give it to chance, Roll aa dice or something

I'd recommend Doremi Fantasy, mainly because I played the others during my childhood. There is something immensely satisfying about Doremi. (Ironically, I dislike the music, lol)

The best ones so far is DORAME Fantasy for the Virtual Console (Very basic, but satisfying) and NyxQuest for the WiiWare. I was really surprised how smooth Nyx is. I can def. see this being redone on more of a major scale.
I agree with the people who say hold off on Lost Winds. It's beautiful, but the controls are annoying trying to get him to jump higher and higher.
