Topic: Best 2-d platformers for wii

I have recently discoevered my love for 2-d platformers. I've played some good ones, like Wario Land: Shake It and Pulseman (from the vc, I know). Are there any other good or great platformers I should know about? Nyxquest is already on my list, the same for gunstar heroes (I know it's a run 'n' gun, but it still counts as a platformer) Oh, and Boy and His Blob is on the top of my birthday list. It looks like it could be the best 2-d platformer on wii!

DKC series is really good, dont forget Mario 3 and World. And you have NSMBWii to look after this holiday!

Well, not really interested in mario 3, we have world for gba, and I think nsmbwii will go on my xmas list (maybe) I think I'll try DKC sometime. I'm also interested in doremi fantasy.

Doremi is great, but can get a little hard later on. But its good nontheless

I can handle a challenge, Would pulseman be on or near the same difficulty level as some mega man games? If so, I may get one of them.

Mega Man are pretty damn hard, but there really worth it as being some of the best 2D Games ever made, perosnally i think the Mega Man games are harder than DoReMi, but if you want a 2D challenge, go get Super Star Wars!

NO! Megaman is terribly hard. And I mean HARD. Entirely different levels

It won't be long before Muramasa:The Demon Blade and New Super Mario Bros. Wii will be released. Wario Land:Shake It!! is the best 2D platformer on the Wii so far.

I don't know if muramasa would appeal to me, maybe I just need to watch more videos about it. I rented wario land just yesterday, and It's a really good game. It's really the best 2d platformer on wii?

SuperSonic1990: Muramasa I will be purchasing on day one, but its not really just a Platformer, It's an Action/Adevnture/RPG/2D Platformer and probably another genre in one. I still have to preorder it though because in Japan after they sold all of thier shipped copies, they didn't make any more

Lostwinds, Klonoa, New Play Control Donkey Kong Jungle beat is great, maybe even Paper Mario as far as "newer" ones. Donkey Kong Country is probably the best in 2D platforming ever. If your up to a challenge try an old Alex Kid game.

Don't buy Lostwinds, buy Nyxquest, its much better if your going to download something!

Whether Muramasa is an platforming game or a mixture of various gernes, it is deftinely a day-one purchase for me, how can a game like that be bad? Wario Land:Shake It!! is one of the best 2D platformer games, until New Super Mario Bros. Wii comes out.
Of course if you want a game that will makw you want to make you tear your hair out, buy Super Star Wars.

I didn't say muramasa would be bad. I just watched another video, and it looks pretty I'll watch videos for klonoa and npc: dkjb soon.

Kirby Canvas Curse is great, but it's controlled entirely by the touch screen. N+ is a another good one. As for platformers on the Wii, NyxQuest is awesome, and DoReMi Fantasy remains one of my favorite SNES games of all time, so get that too.

I have played the Japanese version of Muramasa, and it is pretty good, although I thought it got repetitive quick. But the gameplay is fast and fun, so it's worth a purchase.

Klonoa! It is fairly short, but very inexpensive.

Get DoReMi Fantasy, one of the greatest platformers I've ever played.It really is that good and a Bargain for 900 points.

I want to get doremi, but I have a problem. I already want to get nyxquest, and doremi would bring the total up to 1900. I have 300 points left over, and I was hoping to get a nes game like kirby's adventure or kid icarus. So, I would have to get something other than doremi that's 800, or change nyxquest to a 900 point game. Is 3 musketeers good?
