Man. I wanted to get it. I guess I could get MM2 sometime. But that still leaves Bit.Trip. Oh, and the graphics of Bit.Trip look like someone's having a bad.Trip They're cool.
Bit Trip games are hard, but addictive. Your desire to progress further in the game will much outweigh your desire to stop playing.
MM9 is also hard, but it has a store (which many people overlook, sometimes intentionally) which allows you to buy items that will protect you from every kind of hazard in the game. So, yes, it's very tough, but visiting the store reduces the challenge greatly, if you find yourself getting frustrated.
They are both must-owns.
And Beat is a lot harder than Core. I beat Core the same week I bought it. Beat I only finished last weekend or so!
Come on, Mega Man 9 isn't that hard. I mean, it's not easy but there are many harder games. Heck, there are harder Mega Man games. Quite a few of them even. And the most important thing is that anyone can get better at it with practice. With Bit.Trip it seems if you don't have a talent for it, you're not gonna improve ever. You're just doomed.
I can only speak for MM9 and while I found it very tough, it was a lot of fun. Actually, it took me a while to beat my first boss but everything ran smooth after that...until I got to Wily's castle...yikes...still, I think it's a great purchase and a little challenge shouldn't scare you off.
I've never played Bit. Trip, but I've seen the videos and they are insane. Mega Man 9 is very tough too, especially during the later levels, but absolutely worth the money. It's got the greatest DLC of any Wiiware game so far (well, as far as I know, and the achievements will have you playing for a loooong time.
