Topic: Arc Rise Fantasia

I like voice acting in games but the voice acting in this is terrible, apart from that this looks really good, I hope it gets released in Europe.

Well, did no one get this? Also, who's reviewing this, if anyone?

I would love to get this game now but my GameStop told me that the release date got pushed back a week. According to both GameStop and Amazon websites the game is shipping on July 27th. If you know any place that is already selling it please let me know.

Some places already have it and the 20th was the day it was supposed to be shipped but it wasn't supposed to be released until the 27th.... or something like that. Some places are selling, most aren't.

I don't have it because I live in the UK.

I think the game looks great, and I'm really looking forward to getting it, but is there a reason the art style screams "Tales of Symphonia" ?

I've been looking forward to this for a while, I love the art style and have been waiting for a good Wii RPG for a long time. The voice acting wasn't great, but it didn't bother me too much. I'll probably get it soon after it comes out.

I'm glad some decent-looking RPGs are finally coming out for the Wii. Maybe I'll eventually be able to lay my PS2 to rest.

That said, the voice overs are pretty terrible and that really ruins the experience for me. They should release it with the Japanese voice overs as an option. I always switch to those if they're available.

The director of the game was from Team Symphonia but I don't know if that influenced the actual art style.

I'm reviewing it and I've been playing it off and on all day. So far so good.

Aw, I missed it. Oh well, let us know how it is Wolf (and EarthViper, if you got it too). I'm a bit interested in this now since Dragon Quest 9 disappointed me so much.

I'm waiting to find it in the bargain bins. Just because I'm desperate doesn't mean I lack patience.

When I was browsing some threads on Gamefaqs (I'm not a member though) I was really surprised at some of the things that were being said about this game as I thought this looked like a pretty average rpg but there were people calling it the second best rpg on the wii (second to XBC) and there were even some calling it one of the best rpgs of the generation! If you don't think the former is that impressive, some of those people had imported Japanese versions of the likes of Tales of graces and The last story. So I was wondering what you guys thought of this game and these comments?

I'm still hoping for this to drop lower. $25 used still looks like too much for it.

@Vonseux Just in case you thought I was saying "second to XBC" because I doubt that Arc rise fantasia is better, that was what the comments that I saw were generally saying.

I picked this game up a few weeks ago, and I really like it. The voice acting is pretty trash, but everything else is great.
