Why no American Skate or Die release? And in the same genre... how hard would it be to have the N64 version of Tony Hawk... Like Mr. Hawk couldn't use more money.
@Karakato I'm sorry, but please don't look at these little articles for information on upcoming games. Its a "wish list", nothing more.
I keep telling people in the main Download Weekly threads that complain about expecting games like Mother 2 (Earthbound), Star Fox, and Yoshi's Island every week. Now, except for very rare instances (like Pilotwings), Japanese and American games are always released in their retrospective regions first. Actually, i would more say Japanese releases follow this more, and then trickle out afterwards. Look at the original posters predictions. It's May 5th, and KOF '95, Mega Man 4, and Zaxxon have come out so far. All of them came out in Japan first. What i'm saying is, look at the Japanese VC lists. If the game you want is not out in Japan yet, don't look for it to come out anywhere else. Especially since with like games in the Mother series, some of them have quite a few Japanese-only releases. Also, the original Mother isn't even on the VC in Japan...
Of course, that doesn't mean that American/European games aren't likely to just come out anytime. There are games like The Lost Vikings that i would LOVE to see on the VC. That's owned by Interplay, which released a lot of Earthworm Jim stuff, as well as Boogerman to the VC, so the only thing i can think of that is holding that one back is that it was co-developed by Blizzard...

Games from the Japanese VC i would like to see on PAL or NA: Metal Gear/Metal Gear 2 would be nice. Those both came out in japan in the last 6 months, so its not so strange to not see them elsewhere yet. Would be nice to see the original Final Fantasy II and III as import games, but i read Japanese so it seems like an easy thing for me, though i know its retardedly impossible for 99% perfect of NA and PAL players. hehe For the same reason i'd love for any of the Fire Emblem games, or Super Famicom Wars to come out.
A note: NA and PAL are up to speed on what Japan has with Mega Man and King of Fighters, which makes me understand why the Virtual Console seems to be slowing down.
I'm dying for Kirby Super Star to get out of Japan.
Well, i personally don't think its IMPOSSIBLE to get any of those games, but certain ones do seem to be stuck in a sort of limbo legally right now, and since it's just a download service i doubt that Nintendo would go out of their way to clear up that stuff when they want to be focusing on making new games; which is why so much attention is put to the Wiiware and DSi these days.
But i don't regret or lament the VC at all. It allowed me to play games i totally treasured during my childhood (Zombies ate my Neighbors, Super Mario RPG, Ecco, Donkey Kong Country, Sonic3&Kuckles), or games that i always wanted to play but never got the chance (Harvest Moon, Sim City, Cho Aniki), or, allowed me to discover games i never even knew about and now love (Actraiser, Princess Tomato). I think the VC service has another 2, 2 1/2 years in it, since the company has stated many times they aren't even PLANNING another console right now, just focusing on the current one and the DSi/3DS. In the time to come, the VC will get some of the games we all have on our wish lists, just not all of them.
I know pretty much 99.9% that Mother 1 and 2 will never be on the VC, nor Yoshi's Island, or Star Fox. There's several others i've given up hope on too, but thats not to say I/we can't be surprised. Maybe something clears up, and games with the SFX chip get released or something. But right now, i just wait and hope for the best.
BTW, I never got to play Clayfighter 63 1/3, but i heard it sucked.
