If persons affiliated or closely involved with this title have to hype it up, then that's a sign. If the game is everything they say it is then why are they worried about publicizing it. I think I'll go by word of mouth on this one and not from someone involved in such matters. Let's see how many downloads this gets first, I mean how can that possibly be bias?

I haven't followed the conclusion of the discussion he had with a tester in the comment section. But what I've followed was a bogus discussion and I can fully understand that when he get spammed by crew and messages like that he block them. I would do that myself as well if I was making video's. Nothing to do with him not being objective or not telling the facts. If someone is not objective, it are the makers itself. Luchen, proves that pretty well on page one.

I'm totally with you about objectivity so I'm not talking about the game anymore. It may be bogus or not be worth a dime for some.
But showing a thread as if people could freely express their opinions and deleting ALL MESSAGES sharing the same point of view without notice is really lame and manipulative. That's my point. I was blocked and he wasn't being trolled or spammed (just a few posts really, deleted all, correct or not).
The channel owner can block whoever he wishes (YOUTUBE), but people reading comments now and not knowing this are simply fooled to think that that's the entire feeling about the game and HIS REVIEW to his own prestige protection or lack of discredit to his work.
Is that really fine to you? I'm not willing to get into any kind of tangle, but aren't you falling in a bit of double standard?

The tester you mentioned may be such but he mentioned a whole day (10-22) of a showroom with the game at FNAC store in Valencia for people to try the game (with two playing sets) and in fact they came by hundreds.

Anyway, it's just not such big deal (although it pissed me off really ).

Cheers

I was really thrilled with Anima: ark of sinners 'till I've actually played it. Well...It's not a bad game at all, but the gameplay is just painfull sometimes. Just in the begining of the game i had some dificulty at reaching a platform. If I pressed the jump buton for a while she would almost fly but never landing where I wanted to. And when I tried to adjust the jump while in the air by pressing backwards she would just fall.
There's other problems like Sneaker13 mentioned a back ago, like sometimes we can't see if there's any platforms at all because of the camera.
As for the combat mechanic I think it needs some practice...
The rest of the game, as the music, the story and the art direction are all great!

How can that possible be saying anything about the quality of a title (Sexy Poker and My Fireplace anyone). But I checked the Dutch list and it entered at 11.

From what I've read he got spammend by five people from Spain who probably worked for the company, two of which were testers. When he has some (VERY) valid points about the game being bad, he is objective. When the crew of the game comes online and basically bash him for hating on their game or come online and praise the game as someone else, that is not objective.

And how can people be fooled by this when he removes biased comments from the crew of the company. Do you really think that the people that make the game are going to agree with him. "Yeah, our game is bad. Don't buy it."

And then they go online to a gaming forum and praise the game like just a regular costumer. That is an underhanded tactic to fool doubting costumers into buying a game. That got me pissed and I really lost respect for Anima Game Studio as a developer. They should have taking an example to Legendo and Digital Leisure that were online after their games came out, listened to their fans and people who didn't like the game, responded to all of them and tried to do something with the praise of critism.

@mariofanatic128: Glitch? You mean how the demon just drops into the bottomless pit?
Dunno, maybe he had enough fun and is coming back later in the game?
To me it looks like a normal movement pattern.
Such things were common in scripted scenes in SNES games. (i.e. Super Castlevania IV)

But, the mid-air fall-jump after the bridge at 0:35, is that normal?
If yes, it would make some of the jump passages a lot easier.

Well, if you believe as a fact that they all worked for anima and therefore he was spammed... then I guess you know better than me. Making such assumptions entitles you to ban/crop/block any user anywhere. Even with that, critics were most made respectfully and deleting them all...leaving ONLY all comments alrighty whith his review...it smells pretty bad no matter how you put it, and its lame.

Also he sure may have very valid points as other people are describing, and even if I think his review was too far fetched (from my personal, biased, point of view), there can be other opinions, not only his. That's my point. Period.

I really hate people that try to finish a discussion by saying "That's my point. Period." THAT, is lame. But whatever, like I said, I followed the beginning of that pointless discussion he had with one of the testers. According to him there was another tester (probably you) and a few other people from Spain (where the developers are from) spamming his review and flaming him. I don't own his account so I don't know if they all spammed him and how, but according from what I've read about his discussion with the tester and here on Nintendolife, yes, I really think he has been spammed.

And saying he only let posts excist that are the same as his is BS as well. Check out his review of Tatsunoko VS. Capcom, a game he hates, but others love. Lot of those comments that were different from his opinion, but are still there.

Sure there can be other opinions then his. Some may like it, some may not. And a normal discussion can come from that. But another opinion is not objective coming from the people who made it. Those people aren't objective and want people to sell the game. Especially when you come online impersonating a normal user (like Luchen did). This underhanded, deceptive way of influencing potentional customers is just so wrong for a developer to do. Listen to them, not trick them.

Sorry, Cegopa but how bored are you making a video like this. Why not post a real video of the game showing some gameplay footage? Don't you think that would make more sense than constantly complaining about Demon212? I mean, he is the channel owner and he can block you for any reason any time he likes. Period.

What I'm talking about is that soon after the demon walked off, she said "Its going to catch me, I must hurry" indicating that it was still chasing her. Maybe its just bad programming rather than a glitch.

Guess we have our answer now that the review is up. Anima was just trying to talk up their own game hoping we'd all fall for it and blindly buy this crap. Mark this one down as another stinker in a long list of garbage on Wiiware.

Hey, Manfred from SHIN'EN created a thread on NL just to publicize FAST Racing League. And It's an awesome game. It's also a popular download @Sneaker13, if you get my drift? So what if he's involved in the titles production and gave the game a bias review. That doesn't mean he has lied. It just means he's proud to share his opinions about a project he was involved with. You would most likely feel the same way about such matters. And first of all, how many of you actually download anything based on one stranger's opinion anyways? I really don't see the point of harassing the man. Seriously, take it with a grain of sand if you want to. And just utilize the same methods, you people have always used to determine what and what not to download. I find this conversation silly and irrelevant. Thank You

@WiiAboutU: No one's saying he's lying about his feelings for this game. What everyone is saying is that they believe the reviewer in question may have indeed been harassed by these people and was perhaps justified in blocking them from his YouTube account, no matter how much cegopa protests against that having been the case. Cegopa is too far involved in what happened to provide any kind of unbiased viewpoint on the events in question. He came here of his own free will to talk to people in this thread, and they are welcome to respond to him as they see fit (provided the responses don't get too heated, as per the community rules).

Bottom line: If you truly find the conversation 'silly and irrelevant', why put in your two cents at all (and thus continue it)? Just ignore it if it bothers you and move on, please. :3
