Topic: Amazon Gold Box Video Game Marathon

Wednesday, October 20, will be all video games in the Amazon Gold Box sale.

Googling around confirms it. Appears the announcement was sent out by email from Amazon.

Anyway, awesome. I hope they've got 4 Heroes of Light on sale.

Indeed, I got that email as well. If past goldboxes are any indication, though, I wouldn't get my hopes up too high for many quality Wii or DS games.

Ah that's too bad. I guess they don't release lists of the stuff on sale, do they? (Bear with me, I've never even heard of an Amazon Gold Box event, lol)

They are ok they had one a few days ago on Xbox 360 games problem was they were all the Call of Duty games which I am not a big fan of. Its pretty much hit and miss sometimes they have something good but most of the time IMO they dont. Personally I am waiting for their Black Friday sale.

The Amazon Gold Box is a staple of the site, usually providing a cryptic list of clues and the times they'll go on sale at the beginning of the day (I think 3 a.m. EST). Some times stuff is "good," other times it's things like Active Life or Petz.

There's also the game deal of the day, which has a higher potential of being good. Today, not so good, though.

That wasn't actually all 360, it was a cross-platform CoD-only day. They had Modern Warfare Reflex up for like $25 or something I think, which is a pretty good deal. Then again, Black Ops is right around the corner.

Amazon's Gold Box and Game Deal of the Day alone are keeping me well stocked on current gen games. In the last 2 months alone I've been able to pick up Chrono Trigger DS, World Ends With You, Arc Rise Fantasia, Little Kings Story, Demons Souls, Valkyria Chronicles and 3D Dot Game Heroes all for good prices.

Sometimes the deals aren't that good or for games I've no interest in but they seem to be good often enough that I make sure to check daily.

I just checked on it a few minutes ago. I day they have Super Streetfigher IV for the Xbox and PS3 for $25 which is a good deal especially if you like the SF series. The other games it depends on when you go look at the deal page since the others are limited time only sales.
