pre-SFII fighting games are horrible.

I know some may disagree with this, but I think the original Super Mario Kart has aged quite badly...

Super Mario 64 is still playable (and, to me at least, still fun) but its camera , in particular, has seen better days. Same goes for Final Fantasy IV's story.

Really? Honestly, I think it has one of the best stories in this series. Probably because it doesn't try way too hard to be "deep".

It was just a little too basic for me, and I wasn't a huge fan of the many "Disney deaths" scattered throughout the game either; and it definitely didn't help that I'd heard for years before I finally played FFIV about how well the story had held up since its release.

I will agree, though, that it was still much more enjoyable than the vapid, convoluted pieces of nonsense some of the later games came up with (I'm looking specifically at you, FFVIII, FFX and FFXIII). And the amazing soundtrack still made up for a lot of it with me.

I think I would like a modern console remake of Final Fantasy IV given a modern console budget. The DS remake was okay but was hindered by being on the DS. It wasn't as good as it could have been due to lack of power but was a step in the right direction.

Another remake of FFIV is the last thing we need! Ever! Seriously.

There are like 20 remakes of that game.

There's only two remakes (DS and PSP) and a bunch of ports.

SNES Final Fantasy II, PS1 and GBA Final Fantasy IV aren't what I call remakes.

Remakes, enhanced ports, dehanced ports, whatever the case, they've rereleased that game more than any other.

Why not remake one of the other amazing SNES FF games? FFV and VI are both so much better.

How about port/remake VII for 3DS or something?

Remake of FFVII will never happen. Least of all on a Nintendo console. Don't get your hopes up.

I do agree, that is one game that has aged considerably. Especially the graphics. Ugh.

The PS1 Final Fantasy games. The graphics look like someone puked all over the screen. Okay, Final Fantasy IX has decent graphics for a PS1 game...but it's more like tolerable in my eyes. Seriously, those games need remakes more than any other game in the series.

Just like how people said DQVII, RE, MGS, and MGS3 would never happen on a Nintendo system, and don't say that "Sony owns the rights to Cloud thing" Sony published FF VII in America the same way Nintendo owns the rights to Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge, FFI, II(IV) III(VI), and Bayonetta 2 in America, it's up to square if they want to release this on 3DS or WiiU or not. Or we could just say square owns the rights to COD since they publish that in Japan

Super Mario Land isn't something I'd even recommend for a penny.
Super Mario Land 2 is still really good though.

Oh jeez. Final Fantasy VII. I had never played it before 2010, but I really wish they stuck to the pixel based graphics for that game. I turned on the game and nearly cried due to the unplayable graphics it had. I made it to the first boss fight, but on the escape I missed the dude I had to save and I died. I missed him because of the blurry graphics. I'm not one of those guys who play games for good graphics. In fact I hate those kind of people. This game was simply not able to be played anymore. The thing that made me the most sad was all the hype for it. I was so excited to play the 'best' Final Fantasy ever.

That's not saying much. But it's FF9 that looks the worst, simply because Square went nuts with the texture maps. PSX textures are terrible. FF9 looks like a muddy mess.

OMG--that PS3 remake looked awful. Well I guess that settles that. No remake of FF7 until Square makes a brand new Final Fantasy game that exceeds the quality of FF7. In other words, never.
