A little suprise? Hmm. Maybe this is linked to Martinet's mystery Twitter update? (if that's real, anyway)
Or, if we're going down the 'new game announcement' path, maybe it should be taken more literally. Marketing people like little tricks like that. Little suprise? Them Pikmin are certainly little, and I recall Miyamoto mentioning at E3 that Pikmin 3 wasn't shown because it wasn't far enough into development and the programming folks were too busy working on NSMBWii, Galaxy 2, and some other titles. And since NSMB is finished and ready for launch now (or near enough), that would certainly free up some resources.

It's the NoA spokesperson so I don't know that anyone else needs to be excited, though I'm happy to have a Wii from that region so I can watch Nintendo Week -- why is it that Ninty News in the UK is only monthly? Of course we have We Are WiiWare, which other regions lack so I guess it evens out...

We probably already have the "Special Surprise" that Nintendo was talking about. Remember the Excitebike trailer on the Nintendo Channel? That trailer was online in a matter of SECONDS, so I highly doubt that it's something along the lines of a new trailer, and Nintendo just handing out points would be stupid and they know it. The only thing I can think of it being is a Demo Channel for Wii games.
