Topic: A couple Monster Hunter questions

So I started playing yesterday. I really like it so far. How long does it take to collect the 30p before work can be done on the base camp?

Not long at all, just a few Jaggi should get enough for that. I think each gives 5? So yeah like 6 Jaggi should be enough.

Hmmm...I've killed WAY more that 6. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I went back to talk to the Chief's son but he told me I don't have enough "p".

Once you start playing online offline becomes pretty boring IMO. That said you should build up your hunter before you go online for the first time.

Okay...so now I get it. I went to the Chief's Son and reported my kills. I did have enough for the 30p request to get the base camp started...I had 162p.

Is the online mode simply for multiplayer questing or is there single player too?

Its designed for multi-player but you can do them alone if you want.
Think of it as the same as single player but the monsters have 4 times the hit points! It would take you forever to take a monster down alone. That's why you would need others to hunt with. I've soloed a mission or two but that's what off line is for. Still you can only get certain items on line once at a certain level.

Okay, so I am finally able to take on a guild quest...collectin' mushrooms! So I accept the quest and a green icon appears over my head. But no I can't seem to leave the village. How do I leave to complete the quest?

After you accept the quest go left towards the water.

I finally finished the one star quests last night. I am enjoying the hell out of this game.

Okay Tech...so here is a question...

When does HR come into play and how do I determine my HR?

Its online only. Your rank will go up as you finish quests. You build up till you hit an urgent quest which will let you go to the next set of quests.
