Wow, some of you are really dumping on Trine 2. I've found it to be one the better eShop games. I prefer the touch controls for it over M&KB.

As for disappointments, Nano Assault Neo. I bought it expecting something more like Super Stardust HD, woe is me.

I hated touch screen controls for Trine 2 as well BUT did you guys know that every moveset you can do with the touchscreen can be also done with one of the gamepad buttons? You dont HAVE to use the touch screen.

Do surverys for gift cards such as Gamestop,Amazon,Nintendo eShop and much more.

I'm kind of conflicted about Trine 2. Sometimes the controls do seem horrible but sometime they just feel pretty cool. It looks really nice and the voice acting is great. It is a very inviting game.

I am also conflicted about Little Inferno. It's pretty and has the World of Goo charm, but sometimes you just feel like it's an impossible Layton puzzle game that you will never complete, and that it is really not a game. It's like a one level Tetris. So you are left with a unique experience, but one that is not exactly a game and in the end you give up. Weird.

Only d/l I regret was one of those bus tours in London. Nintendo really could have done much a better job with this idea, or release those for free to push the uniqueness.

Dang, Surprised at the Trine 2 hate like @Phatosaurus said. I enjoy that game.

My worst e Shop purchase; Mighty Switch Force: Hyper Drive Edition.

My worst purchase would have to be between:

Mighty Switch Force: Hyper Drive Edition - Simply because I already own the 3DS version.

Kung Fu Rabbit - A very mediocre port of a smartphone game.

and Nano Assault Neo - Way too short and a bit simplistic for my taste.

Mighty Switch Force: Hyper Drive Edition, i quite like this but i can see why some people may not like it. It's more of a speed run platformer to get the best times, i haven't been disappointed by any download yet on the Wii U. I was going to buy Nano Assault Neo thinking it was like Super Stardust HD like Phatosaurus, but i seen some youtube gameplay so i didn't end up getting it.

Titles that waste space on my Wii U:

  • Funky Barn Download
A generic farmsim with all sorts of issues: random crashing, major bugs, lazy design, subpar graphics&sounds, sluggish controls, a short campaign, and very long loading times.
  • Kung Fu Rabbit
Quick smartphone port of a simple Meat Boy clone.. Completed in a couple of hours. No replayability.
  • Donkey Kong (NES)
Pointless! Why don't they release the remade NES "Original Version" with the pie factory level, or just the arcade version? Why do we get this version so much? They could switch things up a little, release Donkey Kong Classics (NES) for a change.
Complaining about a 30 cent game, what has the world come to?
  • Wii U Panorama View
Originality wears off extremely fast. Doesn't get any replay. Too many video cuts / perspective changes pull you out of the 360° immersion, especially Carnival in Rio beams you dizzy. My friends find it boring, nothing more than a technical demo that should be free really.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but all of the Virtual Console games I've downloaded. I've owned a bunch of them on 3DS, and the ones that I don't own I don't have time to play because I'm too busy frantically trying to complete a 60$ retail game before the next 60$ retail game that I want comes out. Turns out I have way more time to play my 3DS than Wii U, simply because I use it on the road, at my cottage, in my room, while my parents are watching TV and tell me not to disturb them. I simply don't have the time to play the Virtual Console games that I've purchased on my Wii U, heck, I barely have the time to play my retail games. I frankly don't understand it when people complain about the lack of games on Wii U... I feel like I've got too many.

because apparently every 15 year old on the internet has 5X more money than me to spend on video games specifically.

Trine 2 - Never understood the attraction to it. yes it is pretty, but in my opinion, it's badly executed and gets reptitive fast. I got bored within the house. It's a shame

Trine 2's easily the worst of the purchases I made, I could have saved that $10 and had Ducktales Remastered by now.

Super Mario World controls poorly and frustrates me.

Trine 2 got severely boring.

Donkey Kong was no fun.

Chasing Aurora is useless to me since noone I know actually seems to like the multiplayer. The single player is flying around in short circles. Sound fun to you?

EarthBound is too perfect.

I know I'm gonna get flak for this, but I kind of wish I didn't buy Earthbound. I wanted to see what all the hype was about... I'm a relatively "new" gamer with my first game being Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone for the GBA. In addition, I never owned a home console until the Wii, so I guess you could say I was conditioned to enjoy "newer" games. Which means anything released after the GBA. I know things would be different if I grew up playing an SNES, but yeah, Earthbound just isn't really my thing right now. I'm still gonna attempt to finish it though. Maybe it'll pick up later?

I'm not surprised, actually. Don't get me wrong, I think it's an amazing game, but I think it's one you have to be a fan of the genre / retro gaming to really enjoy. So, don't feel bad.

I have similar issues.
Though it may just be the entire JRPG Genre as a whole. That particular style of monotonous grinding gameplay just doesn't suit my own more enjoyment-driven play style unfortunately. Though I've found that listening to a Podcast whilst playing Earthbound certainly works well enough. Gives me an hour to both play the game at my own pace, enjoying the dialogue and story, and simultaneously educate/entertain myself through more audible means

I feel weird about Trine 2. I've been playing it off and on, but the controls seem a little off.

Trine 2.

it looks nice, but everytime I play it it's like I'm about to fall asleep. It's really boring, and I haven't bothered to make it past the first few levels.

Probably Donkey Kong... yeah I got it it for 30 cents.. and yeah it's technically a good game.. but if I had to pay 4.99 for it no way.. and.. well to be honest.. the controls seemed a little to touchy to me.. and since I currently have to choose between that and Pokemon Rumble U... and I consider Rumble U the gaming = to Jell-O.. (There's always a little room for a round of Rumble) I have to go with Donkey Kong..

I am a wild and free Ninetails not a trainer.. get over it...

Don't anyone buy Chasing Aurora. Broken Rules absolutely messed up, and I doubt I'll buy another one of their games again. Wasn't even worth it at half price.
