I don't remember anything having a touch screen when I was a kid. And I definitely don't remember having a controller with a touch screen on it. Young people are so jaded these days...
The first touch screen was invented in 1965. The first home computer with a touch screen was 1983.
You must be really old if this technology didn't exist when you were a child.
I didn't say the technology didn't exist. But rather that I didn't have anything that used it.

lol. I'm sure Miyamoto's wife and children would love to know he never really cared about feeding them or having a house.
He could've done ANY job to shelter and feed his family. He chose to make video games.

I take that previous comment back. There's no way you can possibly be old enough not to still be a child.
Ha. You disagree with me so you insult me. Surely that proves you're much more mature than I.
Yeah. Microsoft's in it for the money, sony's in it for the spite and nintendo's in it for the love.
They all make games for the money. Sony's just not very good at it.
I know they all make games for money. They're businesses and require money to continue operations. What I believe differentiates the three is their initial motive to make consoles and games.
But rather that I didn't have anything that used it.
So until you personally use it technology can't be impressive?
Moomoo is right. The technology going into the Wii U is anything but impressive. We all just need to hope that Nintendo and third parties figure out how to do interesting things with it.
He could've done ANY job to shelter and feed his family. He wanted to make video games.
I could have gone and become a garbage collector to feed my family. I became a journalist because 1) I like journalism but 2) I wanted an interesting job. That pays money.
People want to do work they like, but no one works for free. Miyamoto would not be a game developer if Nintendo wasn't going to pay him a salary.
Ha. You disagree with me so you insult me. Surely that proves you're much more mature than I.
But I'm right, aren't I? You're a teenager, or at most, very early 20's. I'm not sure how calling you "young" can be insulting, but then again, you are young.

"This gaming thing is a good business opportunity."
But rather that I didn't have anything that used it.

How can I be impressed by something I haven't used?
Just because you're not impressed doesn't mean that there aren't other people who are. Nintendo and third parties have already figured out interesting things to do with it. If you're honestly not impressed then you seriously are jaded.

Seriously? That's your argument? He could still make games as a hobby in his free time but have a real job that he does also. But, why only do it as a hobby would he could be doing it as a career?

No. You're not right.
And you called me a child, not young, just to clarify.
Yeah guys, ignore him, you guys should try what I do and not respond when you know your right

Both you and LollipopChowsaw are looking at the wrong perspectives here.
Lollipop called you a child, which has a negative annotation.
Lollipop, and me as well, I guess, were talking about the WiiU purely as a piece of tech without looking at the games on it. If I bought game devices solely because of the specs, there's no way I'd buy a 3DS when the Iphone 4 is superior spec-wise. Yet I own a 3DS and don't own an Iphone 4.
Also, why the heck would Miyamoto make games for fun and have a different job when he could make waaaaaay more money making games, regardless of whether he enjoys it or not?
You're "Nintendo went in for fun, Sony for spite, Microsoft for money" makes sense to me. Yeah, they all mainly did it for the money, but other reasons were certainly present.
Stop bickering. I find you two to make the most sophisticated statements in these forums, but both of you are acting like children.
In all seriousness, you guys need to chill before theblackdragon "Batman-swoops" down upon us.
The only thing that's old about Waltz/AlexSays (where is the latter, btw?) vs. random NLifers is you always coming in to tell everyone to stop arguing before they get banned. In all seriousness.

If they were banned I'd just stop coming to this website. They make it interesting .
They do know when to stop, though. They're not like a certain turtle who just don't know when to quit.
Best thread ever
Feel free to add me on Miiverse or PSN.

I don't need to say anything here
Wow. You really do love to argue, huh?
Only when other people are wrong.

No. My argument is that the very idea that anyone would work without caring about money is ludicrous. If Nintendo walked up to Miyamoto tomorrow and told him they were cutting his salary by half he would quit. Fact.
