(yes I understand this is off-topic of Wii U, but I thought since this part of forum gets more traffic) What's with all these remakes of games that only came out 1 or 2 years ago. Or less then a year ago? Seriously, in my opinion it's not worth buying "next-gen" consoles if half of the games they announce it's only a year or less old. I think Nintendo wins on this part of not re-releasing games that only came out less then a year ago. I'm going to be honest here I'm glad that Wii U is not getting games that are remakes of games that only came out less then a year ago...
Remakes are much easier to make than new games. They take less time, effort, and money. If Nintendo hadn't put any remakes out on the Wii U then it simply would have far fewer games right now. I enjoy good remakes (assuming I'm interested in the game) so as long as new games are also being made I don't have a problem with it.
I think it's great for the consumer as long as they can hold off paying $60 at launch and wait for the ultimate editions, then wait a couple more months for those to go on sale.
To blessed to be stressed.

Didn't you say you don't have a wiiu, then why should remakes coming for the wiiu concern you?But remakes are quick money.
It doesn't matter if I have a Wii U or not. The point here is what's with all these remakes. I think its useless and a cheap way for companies to get money. Which is sad.

remakes are what companies use strategically to have a quick cash-in(third parties) or to fill gaps and avoid software droughts since they're cheap and quick to make(companies that have their own console in the market, I'll call the current ones Nincrony or Mitenny or Sotendoft, I like the sound of Nicrony but people will compain that nintendo comes first in that name)

Making games take time. Making games for new systems take even more time.
Remasters & Remakes are a great way to put out software while new projects are being developed. I don't mind them at all.
But that's the whole point of new systems, experiencing new things. Not something you already did. I do understand that not many people enjoyed it because they were too lazy not get it or the game gets a bad review & now since the game gets a remake now the people I just mention now get interested in the game.

Well it's a cheap way to get money, just look at capcom their remaking a game again. Cause they want money fast and that goes with the last of us remastered to quick cash and they don't have to change anything, but people will still buy it.It's funny though.

I wouldn't say so about Nintendo they only made remakes of games that are years old. Like Wind Waker. That the game is what 10 years old by now. They only made a few remakes these past couple of years.

Sure. But no one is forcing you to buy the remakes.. They're mostly there to fill out the release schedule until those "new experiences" come out.
Would you want six months of no games to play until all the new titles release, or six months with a couple of remakes & remasters to play until all the new games release?

I think it is funny that some people claim that they have owned last-gen system and they did have the time to buy it. But didn't want to buy it because they were either to lazy to get or the game had a bad review & now everyone is so interested in the game because the game is remastered. Just look at the comments of IGN (*Link on top) it clearly shows how people were too lazy to get the game and now they want it because the game is remastered. I just don't get it.

That's why I don't buy new systems because of this point right here. I buy the system 4 to 6 years of it coming out .. Like I did with 360 I bought it 2 years ago or not that long ago..& the system is 7 years old..
